  Is this right? League bans 9 year old for being too good!

  a 9-year old pitching phenom has been banned from pitching in his age group because some parents have complained that he throws the ball too hard.

  supposedly it has to do with the safety of the kids, though i think it's just another example of the wussifying of our country.

  It was the big topic on sports radio today. No one could come up with a plausible reason that this could be covered by. Good for the boy's coach to not bend under the pressure and agree to NOT pitch him.

  attached is one of my best paintings, a contrast between my brooding son and a happy dog.

  the dog is gem, my daughter's dog for over four years, who was just put down last week.

  i just learned yesterday, and i woke in the middle of the night, crying, wanting to give a tribute to her.

  Watchtower Blood Component/Fraction Deception

  the watchtower attempts to create a semblance of logic to its allowance of blood fractions by presenting the concept that blood consists of four primary "components".

  use of these components are unchristian.

  these components can be broken into "fractions", which are acceptable to use.

  is there a site that gives their names, etc?

  Wasn't the couple from NJ, who no longer attended due to their child being molested by a grandparent, threatened with DFing and it was even attempted before the segment aired? I recall reading their account on the Dateline or 20/20 website. I *may* have printed that and will look for it.

  yes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.

  i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.

  as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

  I knew of a brother who was told by the CO to NOT tell the Assembly that the expenses had been covered when they had, but he did anyway.
