  I'm going back!!!

  well, kinda.

  i'll be moving across country in a few weeks and i want to get a different perspective on this religion.

  so i'm playing the theocratic warfare card, rather than let them know i was once a witness and now disfellowshipped, i'll just pretend to be interested and maybe accept a bible study..lol.

I want to see how it feels like to be love bombed, but also I really want to get the inside info on a few things I'm questionning. I've been away for a long time. I really want to see how much they have changed. I won't last long but it should be fun. I'll just have to stop going once they require I wear a suit and tie. I don't think I could handle that.

  I'll write a full report once I'm done..

  Are Any Of You Afraid of Dying At Armageddon?

  i'm not but i know some jws that have drifted but when things like 9/11 catastrophes occur, they're right back at the kingdom hall.. do you ever worry that the great tribulation might occur and you will die?.

  I remember the day that desert storm started in 1991. I really thought it was the beginning of the end, the fear was so bad that I felt like I had a knot in my stomach. I was actually sick. Of course I ran back to the KH but never got reinstated. I never returned because I always felt I was not good enough and I'd die anyway. They made me believe I was a bad person, which I'm not.

  Now, I don't feel god would kill me if the big A arrived, so I don't fear that anymore.

  Counting heads at the Watchtower Study

  and about 30 minutes into the watchtower study two.

  brothers get up to take a head count.

  and then the elder asks, "did you count yourselves?", they look at each other perplexed, confused, then answer "no". Then one of them says "great! now we have to start all over".

  so I ticked a professor off

  i missed the last two days of class, and did not email him before class telling him i was going to miss.

  evidently this was a requirement for the class.

  he emailed me today and told me i could not return to class until i meet with him and the school dean, and if i didn't do it by monday he was going to assign an f for the course.

  I'm in my third year right now. I usually avoid those professors and I make sure to know who they are. There are plenty that will work with you if you can show you'll meet the requirements on your own. I feel I'm an adult and I don't need to be treated like a high school student. Sometimes, if I think I have a grasp of the subject and I don't need additional information, I'd like to be able to decide if I'll be there or not. I'm the customer, I'm paying. I usually ask them, "when you go buy a car, do you let the salesman tell you how you should drive it?". At this point in time, I don't think you have a choice to follow through with his requirements. You could still drop, but you'll lose the money. Learn for the experience.

  some of my christian co-workers have related to me how jesus has spoken to them.

  one of the comments that i remember specifically, was this:.

  "jesus put it on my heart to [take a certain course of action].

  It's all in the head.

  There's a church across the river from where I live. I went there a few times, enjoyed parts of it. I like to be honest about my past so struck a conversation with the minister, 1- told him I had no money to give him 2- I was an x jw, etc. I always felt they really didn't like me because I'm not into pastor worship. He's not god and I don't believe god talks to him more than anyone else. Not what he claims though.

  So a while back, since they have some real estate, I wanted to rent an appartment from them. The reason was a new tenant had moved into my building and she was a real pain, dirty, slob, bad element and I wanted to get away from her at all cost. The pastor's wife told me that her and her husband had prayed over it and the answer they got was that they should not rent to me. Six months down the road, the slob upstairs moves out, guess where?? In one of the pastor's rentals. Now that's payback.LOL Within a year, that real estate will lose half its value, it will be totally destroyed. They just finished two weeks of renovating her old rent here, the place stunk, not even funny.

  My point? The pastor and his wife prayed god, I didn't, yet they got stuck with the rotten apple and my wishes were answered. I wonder what god was trying to tell them? I have yet to meet the wife so I can tell her. It'll make my day when I do.

  Does anybody else feel relieved that they won't be tortured during the great tribulation?

  i grew up hearing about different ways people have been tortured in the past and was always scared of going through that during the gt.

  it was always an unhealthy obsession of mine.

  i always thought that i was more worried about it than other jws and that i would end up renouncing my faith to get out of it.

  I passed the GED test!!!

  i went last week and took it after studying on my own for months.

  i thought i needed some help so i went and signed up for ged classes.

  they test you to see where you are.

  Forwarded JW email: proof of the Nephilim!

  and the bible again was right.... all the ones who are familiarized, with the bible know about the nephilim.

  as related in the bible, these man of ancient times, apparently descenced from the heavens (they were angels), having been atracted by women on the earth....for that reason they took form of men, abandoning their original spiritual nature.

  that bible account, leaves many perplexed, which is very understandable, if you don t believe in god, but now archaeologist, have found rest of abnormal big skeletons....what at least make you think of the accuracy of the bible.. .

  I remember seeing those about a year ago. There was a site somewhere debunking these as being doctored. I can't remember what it was exactly but once a few things were pointed out it became obvious they weren't real.
