So JWs are the most scientific religion so JWs and science are going to collaborate to bring about god's kingdom? Whew weeee - you wanna pass that over here?..>

  Let me explain and repeat:
  
  I have pointed out, that "New Light" on biblic prophecies must provide "bridges" between the terminology of science ("ratio") on the one hand - and the terminology of christian beliefs on the other hand.
  
  If this bridges cannot be established, WTS cannot survive too. For Jesus had said "heaven and earth will pass away but my words by no means will pass away" this will mean that those "bridges" will come; whether the GB reject the necessity or not!
  
  This fact was the reason for I wrote :>I would hope an angel come to Don Adams opening new scrolls of technology for the New Order<

  I came in rage when I read Victors stuff.
  Its writing is typical psychologic/sociologic/political terminology and demagogy.
  This type of defamation is currently used in some african and asiatic states to defame JW's and to bring them down and in troubles and depressions.

  I have a son. He is 30 years old now. He is JW like me - but it was his free decision. If he would have not agreed with JW belief, then I would have accept it!! I never applied a tiny part of repression or coercion on him in all the years. Do you think I ever would have "shunned my love to him" in a "cold blood commit atrocities, in the name of God" ? Atrocity: that's such a language Victor have used...
  
  I know that I am a griper in this forum. You soon will see me having enemies in all sides: JW's and ex-JW's and anti-JW's.
  (Same happened in a German JW-forum..)
  
  That doesn't touch me anyway.

  At first: note:
  I am a critical JW. And no hypocrite. Look at all my postings...

  My native country is Austria/EU
  When I read this words, I got remembered to the political terminology of the Nazi's (1941 - 1945) in the concentration camps in Germany and Austria, where thousands of JW's got tortured and murdered by cool and smart guys, who had an incredible and horrible hate to all kind of men who were thinking in other categories of kind-of-thinking than the mainstream of men....

  You are no democrate at all! Go to your friends Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden!

  If one day, I'd got confrontated with guys like you, I'd forget all my christian principles. I'd be the first JW since 2000 years who would fight with the gun in my hands(!) against guys like you. One Nazi-dictatorship, one Hitler, and one Stalin, and one Pol Pot is enough. We do not need more killing fields with defenceless lambs !!

  This is one mistake in kind of thinking which most people do in this forum.
  Why do you believe thoughts about life and lasting of life, written in an elder book, more than 10 years old?
  In the meantime scientists says that the life space will increase up to 200 years caused through the
  impact of new medicine and new technologies.
  
  If you do not believe nothing what the WTS says - don't forget it make no difference. Life time
  will increase dramatically in the next 50 years.
  And no stone will be above another stone....
  
  don't think pessimistically !

  I do not think it's so pessimistic and sad. You should not fall in deep depressions! Please see the matter with a touch of humour and joy!

  Note what Psalm 2:4 says:

  "The very One sitting in the heavens will LAUGH;
  Jehovah himself will hold them in derison"

  The main problem is as following:

  The GB will get more and more into coercion, and they will have got no time to ... "review of our understandings and beliefs in light of where we are in the stream of time".

  If you once go preaching from door to door, and you come to Mrs. Taylor, proclaiming her the established Kingdom of Jehovah, and the end of disease and death; and
  the female house-inhabitant (Mrs. Taylor) says: Oh yes, I know it! Mr. Greg Venter (gentechnic-engineer) is saying this will become true in about 5 years, and his industry is now working on this inventions .... and you otherwise say: Oh No, Mrs. Taylor, you have got to wait until Jehovah brings us healing, but after armageddon... and if on the other hand you is deep frustrated about this fact.... then, I think, the GB will come into a little bit of stress.

  Yes indeed.
  I think I found the reason why:
  
  In a vision, Don Adams (the new president of the GB) saw an angel who gave him the "scrolls to be opened" (Re 20:12).
  
  The scrolls contained all failures made by the WTS from the beginning.
  
  Besides, the scrolls instructed them to present the bibles message in a manner the scientists of the 21. century can understand and follow.
  
  Finally, the scrolls told how to use the recent scientific discoveries in a way to free the mankind from suffering diseases, death, hunger, unemployment, terrorism and war, and how to establish Jehovahs Kingdom.
  
  Maybe it's my dream.
  But it's no zynism....

  I think we should build a bridge between our bible-semantics and the present scientific terminology.
  
  Jehovahs Witnesses have been the one and only religion who said there is no immortal soul, and the hope for the greatest part of mankind is
  everlasting life here on earth, and not in heaven.
  
  These "revolutionary" belief make JW's more credible in the eyes of scientists as we (and the GB) suppose... There are many scientists today, who presently see the mankind standing at the doorstep to a new global system where these dreams get true.
  
  Why are we not able to formulate our biblical hope in a manner the scientists can understand and follow it? Maybe we could find big allies in our fight for Jehovah and his Kingdom....

  Another question about the Governing Body

  what is the actual mechanism by which god reveals his truth to the governing body.

  the governing body have admitted to having made mistakes so it can be logically stated that this mechanism is by nature flawed.. while true that god only has very imperfect people to act as "the faithfull and discreet slave", there is no reason why he would use a flawed or imperfect method of transferring this "life saving" information to them.. the governing body has been very quiet about what this method actually consists of.. surely they must also be aware that delusions of a religious nature are common in various mental disorders such as schizophrenia.

  is there any way of judging whether truths are the product of ones own mind, if not the product of the devil.
