With stiff steps, he moved his body up to the exit.
After some time the bethelist came and took a seat on the chair. The smile in his face became brighter, and expressed luck and contentment. Oh, isn't it wonderful and encouraging, brother", he whispered to the ear of his seat-neighbor: " to perceive the splendid experiences, that, day by day, come through the invisible spiritual channel of God...?"

Ta-da! We didn't get shunned.....this time
by Mulan inwe were in the liquor store yesterday, and a former jw friend of ours walked in.
he looked right at me, and i could tell he was going to shun me, but looked again, and i smiled at him, and said "hi b_ _ _" he returned a greeting, walked over to my husband, who was looking at some whisky and shook his hand, and they chatted for a bit.. so, we decided that it must be okay to talk to us, as long as we are in a liquor store.

Collective "administrative" shunning and df'ing is UNBIBLICAL.
It is absolutely contraproductive for increase of Christian Love in congregations.But the WTS obviously doesn't grasp it.
They refer to 1.Corinth.5:11-13 and 2.John 20, but there did never exist a sort of shunning or df'ing through a COLLECTIVE order from higher functionaries (elders), that was administrated and supervised...
It was always INDIVIDUALLY performed, and subject to ones own conscience, sense and perception.
Maybe I err. If so, please let me know. I will go to withdraw this my opinion then. -

JW's adamantly refuse to talk about the nearness of the end. Instead they declare that the resurrection is the real hope - not living through the Great Tribulation.
They - the WTS - deny the (meanwhile even) scientific proof for:
a) the current radical change of the world (though many "worldly" politicians and economists day by day trumbone it out even in magazines and newspapers), because the change doesn't match with their imaginations and views.. and
b) the possibility of attainment of everlasting youth and life,
because obviously it get attained through scientific skills, and not through a miraculous impact by God. And this doesn't match with their (biblical ???) imaginations and views too...
They think, in that case Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice would have been in vain - an error, because God is in the position to use scientists skills as "vehicle" to make HIS intentions come true... -

it goes on to report on a scientific study were people who recieved organs from dead people took on traits they nether had before but were traits of the donor.. "the doctors say that one explaination is that memory and learning is not restricted to the brain, and that other cells in the body have the ability to store information-so called cellular memory".
some examples are woman with heart lung transpant develops cravings for food she previously didn't like but donor did, 29 year old woman goes from gay to stright after having heart of teenage girl , 47 year old woman develops a giggle the same as 14 year old she recieved heart from.. now i don't know whether there findings are valid or not but if true i wonder whether jw will go back to beleiving the heart is the center of your personnality.. anyway there could be another explaination for this.. maybe the stucture of our organs causes our body to need or desire different things.so the desire is not actually in the organ but the organs stucture puts different demands on the body for nutriants etc, which in turn effect the brain and you desires.

yes, you have quite right.
There is another interesting effect that scientists are studying currently (formerly, they ignored that effect totally).
It's the phenomemon, that obviously in biological structures VERY LITTLE SOURCES are to CAUSE VERY GREAT IMPACTS.
E.g. see hormone system, immune system, transmitter substances, enzyms and so on. The homeopatic medicin is using this phenomenon to treat people in a soft manner.
A similar phenomenon is e.g. the well-known "GRANDER"-system for "magnetic-stimulated" water cleaning in swimming pools, ponds etc.
(An almost un-researched miracle...) But works indeed! -

Sorry I must say this your posting is nonsense.
Information is stored in ALL parts of the body that contains CNS-neuronal cells and synapses. Thats not only the brain. There are CNS-synapses in all types of organs and body-parts having axons or dentrites connected via spinal canal to the brain..
Besides, informations are additionally stored in all sorts of muscles and myoid structures (moto axons etc.)
This my writing is basing on official state of scientific knowledge in neurophysiology.
You can proof it by yourself, if you want. Study a book about neurophysiology carefully, and you'll have the proof. -

well last night i watched on the news how another terrorist killed six people at a party in isreal.avenging the deaths of his fellow palestinians by killing innocent jews.. he was being loyal to his dead friends and the political / terrorist organisation he belonged to.. last year we watched when how an organisation encouraged people to drive planes into buildings at the expense even of their own lives.. how much of that act was hatred and how much loyalty to a cause?.
i believe one of the most stupidly dangerous things you can do in life is allow someone else to dictate what you think.

This is an old question, often discussed, rarely understood.
They sometimes use the verse of the scriptures (Acts 5:29) "We must obey God as ruler rather than men" to demand the contrary, namely to obey MEN unconditionally, and to switch off human conscience and common mind (which is given as a gift from God!, see Gen 1:26 "let us make man in our image, according to our likeness").
It's so simple.
If Milton Henschel (better: C.T. Russell or Rutherford or F. Franz)
would PERSONALLY appear as apparition on my bed and imposed me to do an act which is neither reasonable nor biblical nor in accordance to my conscience - then I would do it; but only under the prerequisite that they could proof that their demand actually comes DIRECTLY FROM GOD, and not from themselves.
As long as that does not happen, I WILL GO TO DO THAT WHAT MY (taught) CONSCIENCE and my (taught) MIND says. Nothing else. Because I was given the conscience and the mind from Jehovah ...

Before I came to this board I had some experiences with a German JW- forum. On that board JW's, ex-JW's and non-JW's were discussing interesting matters in a free way and with an open mind, without any restriction and fear. Same happens in this forum.
My opinion is that Jehovah never would allow such a board if it would be contradictious to HIS intentions.
Please tell me: What is the type of media where any type of terrible fault or sin made by the WTS or elders, CO's, DO's etc. could get exposed ?? Do ya think the WTS would go to report about the "silentlamb"-stuff or about their UN/NGO-membership-matters in a Watchtower or Awake ??
Therefore (thats my opinion) a forum like this has to be considered as "lovingly provision by Jehovah" to "bring HIS people right", and not as "Satans Place". Forums such as this do have an important impact to the org (respectively to the society). There are many more people (including Brooklyn) who occasionally read this FREE and FEARLESS DISCUSSIONS about TRUE MATTERS that INDEED HAPPENED, than you may imagine... -

I dont think you will ever find a happy, spiritually strong, active JW that has no doubts about his org actually post here.
This sentence implies that there would be "spiritual strong" JW's who are "active" (semi-pioneer, pioneer etc.) and simultaneously HAPPY (bright eyes, laughing, friendly to all people - whereby "friendly" is coming from the heart and not from mind...)
Sorry, I have to say this, though I am an active JW since almost 17 years too: I actually never saw such a really "happy" active JW. Including myself. -
