  WT makes everything a conscience issue

  the wt would make everything easy for themselves if they made everything a conscience issue -i know i have stated this before but it is so true.

  they would save any lawsuits, they would stop losing people, the brothers would be happier , no dfings, no judicials, less burden on the elders, brothers training their consciences - i just can not see a downside

  There is a contradiction, I never can understand. You presumably get resurrected one time with ALL your memories and experiences stored in the "new brain" you will have, the org says. Okay. But the next problem: Your deeds (and sins of course too!) you`ve done while you were living became stored otherwise too: Look at thousands of pictures, recordings, letters, articles or postings you wrote into your computer (the CD`s will survive too). And besides, your deeds (and sins) you `ve done are stored then in all the "new brains" of your resurrected friends, acquaintance, relatives and so on.
  
  How can anybody say your sins are forgiven with your death, and there would begin a new chapter of live (the 1000-year-period) where ALL IS FORGOTTEN WHAT YOU EVER HAD DONE ??
  
  No I cannot believe this. If you had been a child molester in 2001, and you would get a resurrection in 2560 because you died before armageddon;-( then your environment will be entirely informed about your SINS. Okay! And they will get treated from your environment in a kind they are aware of your sins you made 2001, and you will get tested severely. Thats absolutely sure!

  Can I withdraw a Disassociation?

  i'm new to the site, and wonder can anyone advise me..... two years ago i decided to leave the jws, and when i met with the elders to inform them, they told me they had grounds to disfellowship me (i told them i doidnt believe in god and had slept with my boyfriend.....for full story see my profile).

  at the time i thought that telling them would just mean that i could get on with my life and they would know that i was not a jw... i thought that you could only df a person who wilfully sinned against god.... well i didnt believe in god, so how could i wilfully sin against him?

  anyway, as i said, the elders wanted to df me, and, not wanting to be seen as a sinner, i wrote a letter of disassociation detailing my reasons for not believing ahead of the dfing.. so did the elders have grounds to df me?

  Apology for 1975, what the Watchtower said ???

  i'm reading crisis of conscience again, on page 253, at the end of the chapter on 1975, he says the watchtower made an apology for all the hype regarding 1975, apparently stated in the march 15, 1980 watchtower.. can someone please post this ????????.

  blondie, where are you !!!!!!!!!!.

  anyone know of any other statements the watchtower said regarding their mistake in hyping this ??

  WHO FEARS ARMAGEDDON?

  the more time that passes, the less i even think about it.

  i dont really believe in it but now and again i get a nagging fear of "what if we're all wrong and it is true" and boom big lighting rods and earthquakes come and shatter us all and i think damn and i almost beat jah on this one .

  its so silly i know im right about my decison to leave the dubs but they psychologicaly messed with us for so long sometimes your like woah what if theyre right!.

  JHWH can let armageddon happen in a manner nobody expects. He do not need orders of WTBS or JW`s or parts of JW`s or non-JW`s. It is a mistake to believe that God necessarily has to shelter a group which call themselves "JW`s" - only for the reason because they claim to be HIS worshippers. He can rescue all parts of human mankind, if he think they would deserve it as a result of their changed behavior, say, in the last 3 months, or during the last 3 weeks. Some people forget, that JHWH is ABSOLUTELY SOUVEREIGN in regard to HIS decisions. If he comes to the decision that ALL people worldwide should survive, then ALL PEOPLE WILL be rescued. If He comes to the decision that nobody has the right to survive (because the mankind is too bad to deserve shelter) THEN NOBODY will survive. Its soooo easy...

  Paradise Now!

  it occurred to me yesterday that, for the most part, the jw dream of paradise could be created by us lowly humans.

  sure, the animal kingdom would still have predators and prey, we would not be immortal, and the weather would still have a mind of its own.

  however, most of the conditions you see pictured in jw literature could be created by us humans.

  In my opinion, many JW`s do not understand what should really happen QUITE NOW, in this world-situation - where armageddon has come too late;-( They are waiting and waiting on "new light" that does not come, they are waiting and waiting on a devine sign of JHWH, they are waiting and waiting on destruction of Babylon the Great, and they are waiting and waiting on the intervention of Jehovah God that does not come. Sick of waiting years by years in vain, they get depressions and panic attacs.
  
  What is really necessary in such a situation? 2. Chron. 20:17 tells us: "You will not need to fight in this instance. Take your position, STAND STILL, and see the salvation of Jehovah..." Is this the right manner how to behave today, or not? Yes, it would be the right way if we stood against an aggressor. If he comes heavily armed, and you stand alone, without any weapon, then its clear that you HAVE TO WAIT on JEHOVAS SALVATION !
  
  But: what, if the aggressor is no aggressor anymore? What, if men who hated you, and who fighted against you, have given up their fight and fled? Do you think it would be better to wait until the men come back, because - after one week - they considered that their surrender was a failure, and they came back to the old hate again, and fight against you once more? Or, rather, do you think that it would be very much better to prevent by all means that they come to fight against you a SECOND TIME AGAIN - instead WAITING on JEHOVAS SALVATION until doomsday ?
  
  Thats my opinion: Waitin` on JHWH`s salvation as long as you stand alone against an aggressor; but TAKING OWN POWER as soon as salvation just has happened, and the men surrendered! From this MOMENT we have to begin with the recovery of the paradise and with establishing a new righteous order! No minute too late! If not so, deep depressions, panic attacs and other mental and physical diseases would overwhelm all JW`s. I think its HIGH time to change our understandings...

  Idyllic paradise breeds idiots

  obstacles that we face in life have a tendency to relly get our attention, and tax our knowledge,and wisdom to overcome them.

  when we're faced with problems we have to figure out solutions.

  no problems,, no need for solutions.. evolution, the survival of the fittest, or perhaps sometimes survival of the smartest,, this has to be the force behind the development of the greater human brain apart from other animals.

  Good and evil only exist in concept they are not reality. G & E are just concepts there is no such thing as a concrete good as if it were a tangible thing that is definitely good. Just concepts we have developed which come from our evolved consciousness,,which is very misleading do to the ego.

  That is exactly the reason why mankind need some type of "extraterrestric" (or you can say: based on watching by a not-involved "observer" in physics terminology) revelation to distinguish GOOD and BAD. If there is no or never such a type of revelation, then mankind is judged to death and destruction from the beginning. You can never claim that "evolution" is smart enough to find the difference, instead of the mankind;-(
