by AndersonsInfo ina producer with nbc in new york called within the past hour to tell me that the segment i interviewed for (once in nashville, tn in august and once in washington, dc in october) is set to air tonight on nbc nightly news with brian williams, that is, if no huge calamity takes place to bump the feature.
this piece will be two minutes and 45 seconds long, the longest slot nightly news has for topics of interest, and will feature a discussion about the court documents that are found on the cd i recently produced, "secrets of pedophilia in an american religion, jehovah's witnesses in crisis.
in addition, nbc's internet site, msn, will follow with a detailed story.

Are We Kind Because It's the Right thing to Do/Or Because "God"Tells Us To?
by flipper inin seeing the " debates " the last couple days of religionists debating with atheists i couldn't help but start a thread on what i have noticed since leaving the jehovah's witnesses religion.
personally just to set the record straight on my views personally i consider myself a strong agnostic, perhaps a weak and learning atheist, if that makes any sense .
while in the witnesses, i was always annoyed ( for 44 years i might add) by some who considered themselves very " spiritual " being kind to others in a facade kind of manner.

I try to be a generally agreeable person because it's the right thing to do. In order for society to prosper most people have to be nice to one another. I think the "golden rule" should be a good idea no matter your belief system.

You want everyone to stop using oil but do you eat meat?
by sammielee24 init takes 16 pounds of grain/grass etc to produce 1 pound of animal flesh which means that the biggest contributor to global warming isn't your car - it's animal produce.
now - we can scream about those gas guzzlers and the emissions they put out - but if we run out and buy ethanol or drive a prius - then we sit down to a steak dinner or chow down on those burgers...then don't you think that its a little ridiculous?

Yes I eat meat, and as long as I have canines I will. Although I hardly eat red meat anymore, I mostly eat salmon and chicken these days for protein. I love tuna, but I don't like all the stories about the heavy metals in tuna.

One of the easiest ways to save on gas(petrol) is to not accelerate as hard, or get to the red light as quick as possible and brake hard.
A digital thermostat that can run on a schedule can save money on heating. -
