I've narrowed the problem to the software firewall. I finally took the risk of leaving it open for a bit, though I'm still protected by the router. I'll see if anything comes down now.

Just wondering if anyone was still seeding this torrent? I haven't been able to get anything yet. If they are, maybe my settings need work. It's been a while since I used a torrent file.
As an alternative, does anyone know if this has found it's way to usenet yet?

What was it that "clicked" w/ you that this wasn't the "true religion"?
by cognac infor me, it was not being able to prove that people were going to be resurrected to earth... i'm still not sure of the answer, but for some reason that just started this huge, fast snowball of different things that i couldn't prove... .
this lightbulb just went off in my head... .

For me, it was the arrogance. The way the Elders would petulantly demand their double honor even when they were supposed to be giving talks about how Elders should treat the flock. When the magazines even started sounding like that to me, I plummeted down the dark side. And I'm glad I did.

From there, my zeal began to weaken. I realized that I was looking for more adversity to strive against in the hope that I would feel as good for having struggled as I used to. Yet I never got that "Jehovah must be so proud of me" feeling back. Then I started wondering why I felt so miserable all the time instead of feeling happy as I did before I started going to meetings. Took me a while to accept the fact that I didn't really believe in the WTS any more, but I knew the Society was part of the problem. Finally, I admitted that the organization and it's people were pure poison for me. I had to get outta there or I would crack.
At the time, I thought Jehovah would fix things (or at least clear out the arrogance and the crap) and then I would return. But that never happened.

by alamb ina different congregationthrough all my years as a witness, the times past were not always good.. too many mistakes were being made, brothers not doing what they should.as i look back now, there are times, i can recall,when i didn't look forward to going to the kingdom hall.
the brothers showed no love.
they didn't seem to care.the elders were unyielding, demanding and unfair.meetings were dull and boring.
