Finally stepped aside because of the old boy network, elders covering up for one another, practice of elders and their wives party times with excessive use of alcohol. The elders families getting slaps on the wrist for major sins. Elders wives knowing intimate details of judicial matters. We had allegations of incest against a prominent elder in the city that were hushed up because his daughter refused in fear to testify. The old boy network was city wide, elders covering up for one another, favours shown to elders sons who were guilty of porniea. The entire city turned a blind eye even the CO and the DO, to a prominent elder in the city, who were witness to his close association with his disfellowshipped daughter at district and other circuit assemblies while others shrank in fear over even being in the same store as a DF relative. So if anyone has been or is aware of these things drop me a private note lots more to share. If anyone still in the ORG thinks I am an apostate liar tell me and I can name dates places persons. that's y I am not one of the boys.

  jehovah's witnesses have learned by the mistakes of all the christian churches who wasted valuable money by spending it on "food banks", "woman's shelters", "orphanages" and "homeless shelters feeding the poor and hungry kids".

  the current may 2015 "awake" magazine deals with the only way to help the homeless people.

  Let me say that the GB has long given the elders information on how to deal with homeless people. its in the secret letters the rank and file never see.

  There are no charitable works in the KH, they will not help even their own members who fall into financial difficulty. in the cong I was in we had an elder body of 10 who were wealthy, when one of the poorer brothers went broke, no work, they told him the same thing I was told. you are not praying enough, hidden sin, not willing to work in menial jobs, the cong is not like churches no charity here, you can walk to meetings brothers in Africa, they have no idea of what real charity is. when I asked that question to the elders I was told the greatest charitable work is the preaching. thank GOD I am free at last.

  Sadly when the org spoke I believed angels directed their words. Since finding TTATT I realised all websites like this were doing was exposing the hypocrisy and lies. Long may it be.

  Blondie, it has always boggled my mind that due to the internet I am now aware that I am not alone. so many mirrored experiences through out the world that all relate to essentially the same issues. Backstabbers in the KH, the BOE leading double standard lives. the GB making all kinds of rules, the paedophiles, who serve as elders, being called into the back room for some minor offence. And no charity for the poor or mentally ill, pray more use food banks, hidden sin, its your own fault, and what is more astounding is what I was told by the WT about apostates was all BS. Free at last free at last.

  were gathering for the elite and they would get sh---t face, i mean down right.

  This is still a problem and has escalated, I served on an elder body and it was a closed group. never any outsiders who could rat on the drunkenness they saw. no cameras or camcorders, booze was in abundance, fine wines, 20 year old scotch. elders and their wives could drink like fish. the rank and file have no idea. its a closed group old boy network. that's why elders families get slaps on the wrist for major wrongs because they are all culpable.

  if you had to pinpoint the time or experience that finally made you open your eyes, what would it be?.

  i think for me it was the time i saw my dad shun his brother who he had not seen in decades just because he was a da'ed jw.

  i thought to my self "no way jesus would do that.

  For me it was when I saw the hypocrisy on the elder body, do as we say not as we do, we will behave as we please in private but if you get caught there is a committee waiting. Old Boy network.

  God Unrighteous

  for decades, i slaved for wts, mentally, emotionally, financially, familially, socially, educationally.. at times, when i was the only one caring for the maintenance needs of the local kh, and being discouraged at the "sacrifices" being contributed to the borg, my spouse would say: "jehovah sees what you are doing.".

  and yet, later, my spouse turned on me, turning instead to "jehovah's elders" and totally threw me under the bus.. paul, allegedly, said in hebrews: "for god is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name.".

  i feel nothing of the sort.. does anyone feel similarly?.

  I was in a congregation of 42 pub. 3 would always be counted on to show for hall cleaning. The rest had families.??? When I would enquire why it was so I was told "no complaining" quoted scripture and lectured frequently. we had 5 elders who were old bible students never out in service regular counted time shepherding.

  when it came to special talks elders families would show up in their sunday best never invited anyone for a meal. I never saw one person in our hall in the years I was in the truth visit me in my home. I was in the back room over grooming dress etc I was told not to get further education end imminent why was I blind!!!!!!

  back in the 1960's early 70's i remember my congregation going on a witch hunt and making a list of products, ice creams, confectionary or anything that might contain blood!.

  i remember one zealous brother asking an ice cream vendor if the ice cream contained blood.

  the vendor just looked gone out!.

  Again it was the WTBTS who started all these rumours. I was the only one in my family who became a witness.

  BOE would visit and sneak looks in my moms larder to check for products containing blood, then if they found any I would be dragged to the back room, the lists of food the elders had was all erroneous, same as I used to get lectures from the elderettes those elders wives who wielded authority I used to feel persecuted.

  it's hard to know where to put this link to a polish book some of you older members probably read, while our newer members are seeking answers to questions the watchtower vehemently deny's!

  do i put this under "jw scandals" or "jw beliefs"?

  for decades without the internet many of us did not have access to all the publications written by early watchtower writers because access was hard, only men like raymond franz jr(god rest his brave soul) had the golden key for entering the library of all publications jws made.. can some of the older members remember people who sold their homes and others who bought things in the summer or fall of 1974 knowing they won't be paying for their purchases because jehovah will destroy all the creditors records when he kills them!

  I was baptised in 1972.There are numerous quotes in the years leading up to 1975 in the WT articles, leading rank and file to believe the worlds end was imminent. The congregation I was in elders told me not to be going to trade college because I would never see completion of my studies. Same elders all worked in good paying pensionable jobs but none of them made sacrifices. If I had the internet then to do research things would have turned out different. We had brothers who pioneered used all their savings quit good paying jobs all because WTBTS said, that 1975 marked the end of 6000 years of mans rule.so yes although rank and file were blamed for this 1975 mess the GB were the instigators.

  Something terrible has just happened

  the neighbor child came over to play with my youngest child.

  i think she's about 4 maybe 5. well anyway there was some strawberries out on the counter and she asked if she could have one and i said no.

  when i looked over later i saw her sneak one.
