Once you have your legal ducks in a row, take your daughter to a counselor, preferably one who understands cult indoctrination. This wil give her wings to fly.

by Aussie Oz ini need some advice and help.. there is going to be a 'shit fight at the it's not ok correl' soon, i know it.. many are aware of my efforts to rescue my kids from the evilness that is the wt.
i am reaching my daughter and hearing things that are disturbing to me.
today i found out that she has doubts about the jws (partly due to me) and says its because she has found out they lie and some things dont add up.

Shattered ...
by talesin inokay, i got back on the 'net partly so i could be back in touch with you folks, b/c i've been so isolated for the past while ,,, so here goes!.
i just got the news monday, and damn!!
my foot is a mess,,, bursitis .. yech, painful, and the doctors have been ignoring me/telling me i'm making it up for 18 mos.

Would you call this a sign?
by Lunatic Faith insince i decided to leave off being a jw i have been pursuing an interest in new age/celtic religion.
i don't want anything to do with christianity any more, but don't have enough knowledge yet to completely abandon all belief in god.
i am also averse to accepting this life is all there is since i spent half of it wasting my time as a jw.. anyway, i have found a local coven that is looking for new members and is willing to train anyone who is new.

ummm, well..... i'm use to being very active.
i use to stand on my feet eight hours a day.. at the bookstore i'd have to squat, stoop, stretch, lift, walk.. i had to sort, answer question, make change.

Welcome to JWN! I'm glad to hear that you have a relationship with your daughter but not with your faded brother. It's not just js who are homophobes, (heavy sigh). Is your daughter out? I was a df'd believer for 13 years until I saw Barbara Anderson and Bill Bowen on Dateline NBC. And I too started frequenting this site to help my brother who was in the process of fading. I also found a world of help for myself.

I need help! i am in social limbo!
by Free!! ini was wondering if some of you can give me some advice in how to get over the fact that i feel so inadequate when trying to make new friends!!
since i left the borg i have only made about 2-3 close friends... the wts ruined my social skills and i am so depressed because i am afraid of the real world... i know i am ready to move on... but i dont know how.. i feel like i dont belong in there but i dont belong out here either... i am in social limbo.. and it sucks to have no friends.. .
when i was in i hated the weekends because i was basically forced to go to service, now i hate the weekends because if the few friends i have are busy w their families or partners i am stuck all by myself... :( please give me some pointers i feel super lonely!

People love to talk about themselves, so when you find someone who you'd like to befriend, encourage them to talk. If you show interest in their lives, and you seem relaxed and happy, they'll show an interest in you too. I've found that most "worldly" people find it fascinating to talk to a cult survivor, so don't be afraid to open up when you start to get close to someone.

Hi, Newbie Here

just wanted to introduce myself and relate my life story in the borg, specifically from the past few weeks- which i think has been a lot easier than many on the board.
anyway, my mum began to study when i was 10 (2005) and since then has been babtized; she strongly believes it is the truth.

Thanks for sharing your story. May I ask where your mother and her family are? Are your father's parents still living, and if so, are they still jws?
Give it some time, and most if not all of your siblings will be out of the cult and once again looking to you for direction. Make your goals and live your life, so you'll be ready for them.
