It is sad for all of the children born or drug into the cult. But take heart; more leave than stay with the JW's. This year I'm celebrating Easter with a few relatives who have successfully faded but shall remain nameless lest they get df'd for coming to my house for a pagan celebration!

Looking back on old photos I saw Me on my last Xmas as a child
by Velvetann ini was looking at all my old photos and found this one of me on my last christmas before my parents found the "truth".
i had just turned 3. look at the joy on my face.. i feel so sad for me and now i feel so bad for all those little children born into that religion.
not just because of christmas but because there is no magical days and only days of waiting for armageddon which never comes.. anyone else feel that the children are being robbed of joy and happiness.

My father is an arss!!
by feenx inyou know....i realize that my father isn't the most personable person, but good god we dont talk that often, and i just called to ask him a couple questions about my grandmother because i've started to do my family tree...he was just really cold.
and when he didn't ask why i was wanting this info i said, "the reason i'm asking is because i've started my family tree.

I can't believe he talked to you at all. My mom has only spoken to me three times in more than 20 years, and it was only for family medical history.

What's The Worst Thing An Elder or Elders Did To You?
by minimus inwas there anything truly terrible??
?

After I was married, a MS told me that my JW husband was a homosexual, and that it would be easier for him to fight it, if I lost weight. As my husband became crazier, the elders kept telling me that things would get better if I was a better wife. I guess his paranoid schizophrenia had nothing to do with it. Then they disfellowshipped me for refusing to stay in an organization that insisted I either stay with a mentally ill husband who was threatening to kill me or remain single until I could prove he had sex with someone else.

Anyone care to send a letter of support to Olga Lindberg?
by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inhttp://www.sptimes.com/2008/02/24/life/woman_can_t_let_grand.shtml.
her story, the above link, was posted a few days ago.
she is not a jw, but her 14 yo grandson who was raised jw by an aunt, well, he is a recent, young no blood transfusion victim.

What this woman really needs is to know that people know her story and will remember her grandson. Please let her know about this site, and that people around the world know what happened. His death IS NOT her fault. The blood of this child is on the hands of the WTB&TS.

Wost parents in the world - but humanity steps in and restores some faith
by Bumble Bee inthis poor kid, watch his face when he thinks he got the xbox and then watch is face when he realizes it's a joke.
kids don't understand 'you know we can't afford ....", he truly thought he was getting his wish.
i'd like to smack some sense into these parents - what they did was just wrong!

Whether this kid gets an Xbox from his family or due to the kindness of strangers, somebody should turn this video over to children's services where this kid lives. This was psychological torture on film, and there's no way around it. When my step-kids were growing up, my husband and I used to play good natured jokes on them, and they grew up with a great sense of humor. But we never torturered them. God, this is so upsetting. I can hardly believe that there are actually such as_hole_ out there.

Did You Find Many JWs As Being Not Very Intelligent?
by minimus inwere most witnesses very intelligent, in your honest opinion?
-

Organically stupid, no--uneducated, yes. I remember a newly baptized brother who corrected an elder on the pronounciation of coup d'e`tat (the elder was saying coop de tat), and boy, did that young brother get hauled to the back room in a hurry!

The Sick And Aged: Watchtower Approves of "Corban"
by metatron inwhy does the watchtower society approve of 'corban' in relation to sick or aged relatives or spiritual brothers and sisters?.
example: the april 15 watchtower article "isolated but not forgotten" talks about the need to visit "our dear" brothers and sisters in .
nursing homes.

When my step-father's father was diagnosed with prostate cancer he begged not to be put in a nursing home. My pioneer mother was thinking about taking care of him. A MS cornered me on time and told me that I should take her out of it, because caring for an aged parent wasn't as important as the door to door work. He died, miserably in that nursing home.

I go ALL OUT for every holiday; decorate the yard, bake, cook a big meal and buy gifts for every occasion. I will even put an Easter basket together for my 57-year old husband and my step-grandkids. Life is short--have as much fun as you can!

I'm going to let the JWs' & others in my area know.
by LouBelle ini'm taking action.
since the un & pedophile issues haven't even been heard of by the witnesses in south africa i am going to get a pamphlet drawn up about these two issues and i'm going from door to door (well actually post box to post box) and slip them in all the homes in my area - i've inlisted my mum.
(my mum makes me laugh - she asks if we are going to wear latex gloves - bless her).

How THE SLAVE can work for you
by oompa ini have hated the term fds for years....gives me the heebie jeebies.
however, i think i am ready for one, and since the pearly gates are open for business again, there should be plenty around.
if they are our slave, why the heck do we have to do all the work?
-

In all historical accounts, a slave never runs the lives of other people. I wonder how it works out that the FDS sets down rules for disfellowshipping, use of blood, etc.
