Heathen, you should be mowing that widow's yard, seeing that you're not engaged in the life saving door to door work!!! GAG!
Good for you!
this was pretty neat !.
an elderly lady who lives behind us lost her husband to cancer two years ago.
she has been doing alright, her two grown sons have been helping her out a lot.

i made the final step the other day.. i donated blood.. .
i've been meaning to do it for ages, just never gotten around to it.
felt absolutely no guilt or akwardness at all.
Congrats! I'm not allowed to donate blood due to a previous health condition, but they allowed me to donate platelets. It's much more involved than donating blood, as it takes several hours and causes light headedness and chills. Still I was able to assist a co-worker in treatment for lukemia. It's a good feeling.
hello all.... some of you have been following our story from the beginning - and even those of you who haven't should be able to relate to my quandary.... last week my 14 year old son told me he no longer wants to be a jw.
we laboured over telling his jw dad all week.
well, on friday night he finally came clean.. but in a bizarre and unexpected twist, after having sex with his girlfriend for the very first time - in his father's home that very afternoon.
Don't panic....14 seems to be about the average age for losing virginity. You don't have to approve or disapprove of his actions, because he's going to do what he wants to in this regard. Just make it clear to him that sex isn't free of responsibility or heartache, and be there for him regardng both.
mine was terrific.
loving visits, cards, dinner, and togetherness.
i know if i had remained a witness, at least one of my children would have left the borg, and we would probably not have the beautiful relationship we now have.
Mine was nice..received a call from my very busy stepdaughter who is a nursing student with three little girls of her own. My stepson brought me a card and a delicious box of chocolates. I cherry picked a few of my favorite flavors and gave the rest to my husband who is more of a sweets fiend than even I am.
i remember being a high school senior and wanting to go to prom ( i graduated from high school in 2003 ), but prom was forbidden when your a jw teen.
i even said to my parents if i took a witness girl would it be ok; they actually said yes.
i found a girl ( yes she's a witness ) to go with me, but here's the kicker she agreed to go.
I wanted to go with a good male friend of mine who I grew up with, but my jw mom and fiance, (who was 25) said no.
Funny story told to me by my much younger second cousin: Not only did she go to her senior prom, but she also won prom queen. Jealous girls at the kh ratted her out to the elders, and she was commanded by the elders to return her crown. She told them to go "F" themselves, graduated a few weeks later and left home. She's in her late 20's or early 30's now, still out, has a good job, helps her boyfriend run a very successful business, owns her own home and lives a fabulous life. She still has her crown.
whats the most depressing song you have ever heard?
i would go with either johnny cash - hurt or gary jules-mad world.
today is my 6th month anniversary of leaving the organizations.
time to have a beer and celebrate!.
Congrats!
please do not judge me for going last weekend to the one day that my husband had.. i truly did not mean to even attend but at the last minute i thought if my husband goes in by himself he never sees any of the stupid points they bring out, so i dressed in one of my not so meeting skirts and a top that was very comfortable and thought i would go to starbuks when it got too much for me to handle.
i lasted about 45 minutes.. first we got there late, my fault and my husband went to use the bathroom before we found seats so i sat back and watched.. there the table that they always have in he hallway and one lone po sitting at it by himself manning it.
my husband came out and we found seats.
Hell Jehovah did not even give me a ride to the meetings when I was in my late teens with no car unless I had the money to chip in for gas but apparently Jehovaqh has changed his ways now.
LITS, I know it must've been agonizing to attend for as long as you did that day. But while I feel your pain, your post just cracked me up! You're developing quite a dry sense of humor. I absolutely love your posts!
i've since returned to the meetings ( only the sunday ones ).
i realize that the talks seem less from the heart and more from scripted.
like i said in past posts the only reason i'm doing this is because my wife and i are having a son soon.
Congrats on the baby.
so i havnt been to a meeting now for about a month or so!
today, i decided for a change that id just go!
it was so boring... one young sister gave a good talk however.
Has one person called or stopped by to see how you are? If not, they're not worried...they're just nosey!
