Im being disfellowshipped

For the love of all that is holy, please don't permit any jw, family or otherwise, unfettered access to your child. Jws shunning you is teaching your child inhumane practices and disrespect. Your monetary donations are still expected. And for Christ's sake, don't earmark the funds for disaster relief. My husband worked on our van all weekend so we can be there. What time does this shindig start? How about noon? Neither one of us can see to drive at night, so we'll need to get started back home during late afternoon.
Edited to add: OutAtLast, have you heard from your friend in NOVA? I told our friend in MD about it and that he could ride/room with you, but I doubt he'll come. Also I'm still working on one of my friends from Pittsburgh to drive up and join us, (you know who you are, my sweet girl so come on!).

Startingover, I think you mean page 13. Anyway, this all sounds super "worldly" to me! Both of them have graduate degrees, both of them work, and they attend functions like class reunions. WTF? Yet college is compared to drugs, alcohol and immorality in the ragazines? Young jws are encouraged to skip the prom? Snakes = Married
by SnakesInTheTower init has been over a month and a half since i have even been on the board, and that really only to ask about gps units (got a tom-tom) and mention the new job.
way too busy with life - post jw now 4 years.. of course, the new job has benefits, health insurance, etc.
(including unlimited use of the company car for personal use and the company pays for the unlimited gas for about a $25/week out of my check -- huge benefit) and this has enabled toni and i to finally after a two year engagement, to get married.

Tough Situation.
by Low-Key Lysmith inmy grandmother is not doing so well health-wise.
she just turned 91 and has been a faithful jw her entire life.
she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is battling pneumonia on top of that.. we were very close up until the point, a few years ago, when she asked me flat-out if i had any intention of coming back or if i even believed in god.
