WOW August '02 this is an OLD topic! The problem is that the USA has school leaving age of 18 whereas in the UK its 16. And UK witnesses were unaware of this fact and encouraged to leave at 16... my dad did actually point this out (he has some good points even if he did molest me i suppose) however saying that - he wanted me to leave home at 15 and repeatedly said he hated the sight of me and wanted me to earn money to pay back my debt of being bought up. lol. so although i wanted "A-levels" there was no way he'd have supported me. so i worked full time, went to college, got a degree and am a chartered certified accountant. if i had gone to university i think i'd hav realised the falicy of the borg and left sooner - thats what they dont want. keeping people in line is easier if theyre relatively uneducated even if theyre bright. (sorry i use mozilla firefox so i cant put it in paragraphs)

ARE YOU UPSET THAT YOU DIDN"T GO TO COLLEGE?
by minimus ini have read of some people's bitterness because they were denied the opportunity to go to college.
during the 60's and 70's the society really discouraged any education other than what was necessary.
since the end was so near, especially around 1975, anybody that decided to go to "higher education" was considered very weak and unbalanced.

Jesus Christ, Michael the Archangel does it really matter?
by unbaptized injesus christ, michael the archangel does it really matter?.
because at the end of the day he's still our lord and saviour.
he died on a stake for our sins.

As for part (2) of the watchtower argument, it is faulty logic to conclude that descending "with an archangels voice" means that Jesus is an archangel. If descending with an archangels voice makes Christ and archangel, then descending "with Gods trumpet" makes him God. The same logic must be applied to the entire verse, not just part of it.
thats an interesting argument! i like!
but i cant see how it does matter - really and truly if we are either a bible beleiver or not and what in the bible you take literally and how you read it - as long as you live your life and treat others how you want to be treated - it doesn't matter

"The person coming from Bethel [Witnesses headquarters] is the spokesman of God," said Michael Saunders, a former Bethelite and paralegal with the Church. "I know it sounds really, really ludicrous ... [But] essentially, disobeying him is disobeying God."
That IS ludicrous!

How much more can a person take?
by juni ini'm in a very low mood today.. i read about all of the misery that this f* religion has caused for people and their families.

Is Atheism/Evolutionism Dangerous? Questions for Unbelievers
by Perry indoes the belief that there is no all-loving diety in which to be accountable to make it easier or harder to treat and judge others they way that you want to be treated and judged?.
since evolution supposes that life and ultimately man who is at the top of the chain got here through a process of the fittest dominating and killing off the weaker, and since most modern evolutionists in democracies no longer think that this is good to practice, how do you deal with the fact that you are a living contradiction of your own belief since you pronounce the same thing both good and bad?
