Happy for you - still haven't read any of the books mentioned yet, will do one day. It is amazing how nice "worldly people" are isn't it - not a load of bandana wearing bearded weirdos at all.

Two Christians just came to my door....knock knock
by AK - Jeff ini let them in - and after they installed my new phone service [yes they were with the cable company], we had a nice discussion about our mutual faith [practiced in three distinct manners].. the installer first looked at my desk, and saw a copy of the kit [i was just listening to a mp3 audio that debunks it totally] , a copy of steve hassan's 'combatting cult mind control' [a recent gift from another poster here on jwd], a copy of reverand lingle's book 'approaching jehovah's witnesses in love', and a copy of 'church history in plain language'.
a glance at my bookselves revealed a dozen bible translations, and dozens of apostate volumes [coc, isocf, gtr, etc].
so he knew right off that i must be religious.. we had a nice conversation after they were done.

my nan went to one for respite care in blackpool and said she never wanted to go to meetings again when she came out....
plus although we said she needed helped feeding dressing and going to the loo - it was all on the form we filled in when asking for a repite place
they couldnt have even looked at it as she had to do all these things herself, she stank when we picked her up - we had to drive back with the windows open
we also had to search out her walking stick and walking frame and they werent with her - the frame was stacked up with a load of others - she'd somehow been stumbling around on her own holding onto walls. clothes were also missing.
i wanted to write an official complaint but my mom didnt want too - it was too much just looking after nan day to day without sending complaint letters. i helped as much as i could(evenings and w/ends) and did more than my witness sisters and much more than any in the "loving" cong.
made me sick

A life beyond ...
by AuldSoul ini now have a life beyond jehovah's witnesses.
i am able to impact kids in their development into young adults who have risen above challenging circumstances.
these children are always impoverished but may be challenged in other ways, as well.. my job is to mold them into productive citizens, contributing adults.

JW kids with Bebo & other such accounts. Its scandelous!
by jambon1 infor those who dont know, bebo is a kind of free web site thing that you can use to put lots of info about yourself, friends & pictures etc.
i think its a bit like myspace or whatever its called.. anyway, i got asked to look at an individuals page and of course it had links etc to this persons friends.
all were jw`s.. if i were still a witness, the stuff that is put on these websites would have concerned me.

Do you Sudoku?
by BlackSwan of Memphis ini tried the one in the newspaper the other day and just about solved it.
but thought i should start small and work my way up to get a better understanding of how it's played.. so i picked up a sudoku mag at target the other day.
