thats a question i asked myself many times. i believe that i wont be completely "normal" ever. i was raised and doomed to live that life. it makes me angry sometimes. its a feeling like being locked up in a cage.
but i believe i can live a happy life. but the JWs are a part of my life. i have to learn to be happy with it instead of trying to deny it.

Recurrent nightmare, what does it mean?

in one dream, i call the police and am arrested immediately myself.
in another dream, there is blood everywhere.

my #4 talk tomorrow

i had the #4 talk of the last week. what everyone didnt know... i was lying the whole talk. i didnt mean any word of it. it was full of BS. every thinking guy would have seen that i was talking BS. i was twisting the scriptures to support JW teaching. but that was easy to do. the literature did it before for me.
when i was stepping up to the microphone i felt like saying nothing at all and step down again. but then my mind switched back to JW mode and i did it very well ("brother! such a nice talk!!").
i guess the elders are hoping for a new MS and that ill recover to a >10hours, full attending beast again since i visited 4 meetings in a row, the convention AND gave a good talk. they need a new MS desperately. poor ones. -

Is it true that the WT uses hypnosis covertly during KH meetings?
by seatrout ini personally am a sceptic regarding the validity of hypnosis as a form of mind control.
i associate it with entertainment tricks pulled by stage performers.. i never experienced any weird happenings during my only two visits to a kh.
is anyone able to refute me?

i wouldnt believe that. it would mean that the JWs leaders use it in bad faith. i dont believe that. most of them actually believe what they teach. even ex-brother raymond franz knows it. no way.

Who REALLY is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

1 page 805. as we all know when the term faithful and discreet slave is used by the witnesses it is usually always about the governing body.
in most prayers we hear at the meeting we hear the brother asking jehovah to direct the fds.. notice who the insight book says the faithful and discreet slave is,.

one of the biggest flaws in the doctrine in my opinion. there is no explanation to it. more funny is it when you actually KNEW annointed ones who DID NOT agree with the GB. they marked certain truths as lies, but lived and died in faithfulness. she said she relys on the GB changing the doctrine with new light. it was the generation-doctrine (she died in 80s). and she said she thinks its wrong to set ANY dates including 1914 since there are no dates in the bible. smart woman. why did she sacrify her whole life to that organisation?!

Do you think the society will abandon 1914?
by B_Deserter init seems to me that they're slowly dismantling the date theology that ties the end times to this period in history.
first, they updated the generation teaching to mean a figurative generation, thus removing the possibility in the near future when all who were alive in 1914 are dead.
then, they abandoned 1935 so the annointed will never die off, and prove their belief that the annointed will see armageddon wrong.

i think they'll dump it. its true that they dont HAVE to. but i believe the GB includes honest men who seek truth. they're not all liars and deceivers. so they see false doctrines and probably want to fix them. it might take some time. they might see that 1914 is wrong and dump it. and of course a date set 100 years ago dont have the urgency like one set last year. there might be coming something.
the blood issue will be dumped 100% in the next years though! :|
