JW Jargon

i mentioned in an earlier post that i had a visit the other day from a former friend, a jw woman, who wanted to invite me to the district convention on the weekend.

i almost got the impression from her casual dress that it was a social visit, until she whipped out the tract.

one thing that i noticed was her trying to soft pedal the jw jargon that is practically second nature to jws.. she talked about how one of her kids was "gone" for a few years, but had recently "come back to us" and that she was happy to have her child's company again.

so many JW-only words or words with a very special meaning in jw terms...

if you got married while a witness... did any of the elders come to you and talk to you about the right and wrong sexual acts you can perform??

what does it mean to "never been able to have penetrative sex"?
door locked? how? it doesnt seem to be a physical problem? a kind of phobia?

i believe many jw wives suffered from that because of the second cause of that problem.
but i never heard of it either.

ive heard that toys thing too. it all sounds like men being in fear of her deedledoo not being enough. i dont want to know how many JW couples ever obeyed the rules. i guess they just decided to have no sex at all. lol.

literally and figuratively.... if you don't know my story, its the basic "i'm gay and from a family of jws" and lately it hasn't been going well.

i'm still saving up to move out, but that "meeting" i was suppose to have with the elders is scheduled tonight.

it was scheduled tuesday night but i dodged that bitch hard.

yes i couldnt understand that either until i was in the very same situation. humans need ppl to talk to when they're in trouble or they die, at least emotionally. if theres noone you can talk to without being seen of minor value and in need of reprehension and without any chance of real love and free dicussion (plus shunning if you dont repel) it just makes you feel lonely. and since we are a very social breed it hurts us much. too bad christian religions try to exploit that.

Lurkers! How do you put up with it?

i just cannot understand how any one in their right mind can read the experiences here concerning the wachtower society's false claims, lies, trickery and deceit, and the example shown by the so-called "elders" in treating the flock with disdain and cruelty, and still stay a jehovah's witness.. lurkers, how can you do that?

do you simply dismiss all the evidence?

have any of you experienced such evil acts personally and still stay connected to the jw's?.

it so simple to see the evidence and dont take actions...

just say EVERYONE here on the forum is an evil apostate who hates jehova and jesus and is likely in spiritistic connection to satan himself at least unconsciously. additionally EVERYONE is like satan himself: thrown out of paradise, angry and want lure others into death too. of course every apostate knows exactly that the JWs have the truth but hate it because they hate god and do not want to serve him. since they are satans childs who is the inventor of the lie every word they say is a hateful lie.

this all drives the apostates to create complex and even truthful looking LIES (with the help of satan of course) to destroy the faith of the holy ones. satan sometimes look like and angel of light, thats why some evidences look truthful.

every evidence is a lie and as more it looks like truth the more it is a lie - finally it proves that the bible and the JWs are right, because this is the fulfillment of the prophecy that the true christians will be hated by the world just like noah.

its perfect.

im not gay, so its hard for me to relate completely. but your post is heartbreaking... i feel for you buddy. even if the JW may be right this behaviour is so incredibly wrong. sadly the average JWs use the bible to justify their hateful behaviour.

about that suicide thing. i can feel for you again. i was a perfect dub and all my family and friends are dubs. my doubts nearly killed me. all that doubt, that fear of armageddon, fear of losing all my friends, being lonely and even not fitting into that world outside (even though i dont believe dubs doctrines im still much of a dub in behaviour) is painful. my wife hated me because of my thoughts. even my wife, the person who said she loves me forever gave me any comfort when i needed it most. so lonely, incredibly lonely. screaming with all heart in search for relief. on one or two occasions i felt like becoming literally crazy because i wasnt able to bear it. thinking of being dead as a perfect solution but just fear it too much. in some occasion someone would have just needed to hand me a 9mm and i would not hesitate.
the fact that i could not speak with ANYONE about my feelings was so incredible hard for me... there are no words for that.

but you know what? it goes away. it comes again for sometime but if you fight against it it will be better. and sometime you'll be healed. and if not try a psychologist. they are trained for that. they CAN help.

but one need to want it. want to get over it.

im my case: no!
i wouldnt tell them either. if they would ask and its too private for me i would just lie. they do not need to know and i know a "no, i wont say" is not acceptable for them. crazy shit.

in my current situation i would do it! all my "best" friends are likely do hate me soon nevertheless. my relatives are happier with me vanished from earth as with me being an apostate. only postive or neutral effects + 10 million. what can a dub who lived a nice dub life and suddenly realized the truth want more? its basically a new life a new start. thats priceless.

i would try hitting canada or australia.

1914 - Is this literature still current ?

this is strange, i read that in 1995 they did away with the "generation" teaching, yet the official watchtower website still says this, over 12 years later !.

thus, all the features of the last days must take place within the lifetime of one generation, the generation of 1914. so some people who were alive in 1914 will still be alive when this system comes to its end.
