  I Was Going To Ask...

  i was going to ask in the suggestion box if a forum for new posters who still believed in god and the bible could be formed here.

  then it dawned on me that most probably the owner of this discussion board and most posters here would be opposed to that idea.. please, be honest.

  would you rather those who believed in the bible and believed in the creator did not post here?

  Freeedom of choice - if it's something I don't want to read, discuss or be involved in I don't click. It's very easy, we have a choice and don't have to worry about what anyone else thinks or feels. Just like TV, turn the channel.

  Go for it, start a topic and I'm sure there is someone here that feels the same way. By the same token if someone posts on your thread and you don't necessarily like what they say, it's easy to ignore that too if it's what you choose.

  I personally have no problem with religious people, I don't understand why or how anyone would want to be involved in organized religion after being involved with JW's, I don't believe in God or the bible, but that's just my opinion.

  Does that mean that when little children are being molested that God is just testing them and he allows because they can bear it?

  Does that mean that when a woman has an abusive husband and he's beating the crap out of her that she's being tested and this is allowed because she can bear it?

  Either god is sleeping or just doesn't give a damn! Oh, maybe he doesn't exist and is just a make believe character created a long long time ago to explain what was then the unexplainable?

  i'm a grown woman and should be able to deal with these things in a more constructive way.

  and yet here i am... my job is doing a contest...bring in your prom photo and the neatest one will win a really cool prize (it's a weekly celebration for back-to-school around here - i'm in the newspaper business.

  I know how you feel. I have lived my childhood through my kids. I took millions of pictures and made such a big deal out of every function and sports game they were involved in, because I didn't have it as a child.

  I think J-guy had a good idea. Use this as a anti-witness, so that others won't get sucked into this cult and the fairtale Jdubs like to spin.

  Cry about it at home, then find a way to make fun of it. Tell everyone that will listen why you don't have prom pictures, why you don't have fond memories of high school when that should have been the best years of your life!

  i want to be reinstated as a jehovah's witness in good standing.. do you promise not to think for yourself?.

  i have no need of personal thoughts or opinions anymore.. are you willing to do as you are told by some very old men living in brooklyn, new york who don't know you and have never met you?.

  i prefer having strangers outline my every action and tell me what is best for my life.. do you promise to act as though every other honest, sincere, forthright, charitable person in other religions is working for satan?.
