Now Witnesses saying "Gas Prices" show we are in the Tribulation!!

armagedon didn't come....we bounced back.

In Venezuela, they pay 10 cents a gallon due to gov. subsidization, but in the Netherlands, where its taxed heavily, its about $10 a gallon. What does that mean as far as Armageddon is concerned?

What would you say?
by misguided inmy 16-year-old son works at the local wendy's restaurant.
the other day while my son was taking his order, a jw elder told him that i, his mother, was a bad influence on him, and that he should come back to the meetings.. i feel so undermined, and i really want to give this guy a piece of my mind.... i thought i'd ask you all first just what you would say...since you're all amazingly bright people and i'm not.. thanks in advance.. edited to add: we've been out for over 6 years now..

Seizures or something else?
by snarf inlooking for someone who has had similar symptoms, or even knows anyone with symptoms and what it might be.
i have been having arm spasm on my right arm for over 3 months now.
they are not constant and seems to be worse in the sun and wind.

Before I got to the end of you thread I was thinking Thyroid??? But if that's been checked and your meds adjusted, my advise to you is to continue with various testing.
It's called Practicing Medicine for a reason. The doctors have to rule out this, that and the other to sometimes get you an answer. There are some things we can never figure and are given diagnosis such as idiopathic...... That just means they are stumped and can't figure out why it's happening. My brother has been dealing with this type of dx for 7 years now. Everything pointed to a stroke but every test ruled it out, go figure.
Just hang in there, try to be patient. Keep a diary of what you do, eat, drink and any OTC medications you take that you might not think could have an effect and follow up regularly with your MD.

How Did YOU Personally Feel About "Keeping The Congregation Clean"?
by minimus indid you report others that you either suspected of doing something wrong or knew of that had committed some "wrongdoing"?.
the elders regularly tried to lay a "guilt trip" on members by telling them they could personally "hinder god's holy spirit" if they didn't come forward to the elders and either fink on themselves or someone else.. did you buy into this crap??

sleep deprivation.
by iamthewolf5562 indoes anyone here have or have had a problem sleeping at night?.
you can take a wild guess as to what i may have to attribute to this.... .
when i try to sleep ar night.... mind thinks and wanders to all sorts of terrible things that could be happening to me at anytime.

I was told by a physician in a sleep clinic that the worst thing you can do is to lay there staring at the ceiling. He suggested reading something but not anything too interesting. I have my Cardiology/EKG book from nursing school if you would like me to loan it to you
But seriously read something boring, get up and do a load of laundry or get up and watch TV. You may need to see your doctor to rule out other things. I hope things get better for you I know what it's like to not be able to sleep at night then have to function during the day.

Zeroday, this is how I felt. I used to pray because that's what was expected of me, I called god jehovah because I was told to. But I never felt for one minute that it was real or that there actually was some spirit being us in heaven watch'n every move I made.

I need some input (Migraines)
by Tired of the Hypocrisy indoes anyone know of any documented proof that long hair causes migraine headaches?.
the reason i ask is because my 16 year old son has this head full of curls.
he also has what we believe to be bad migraines.

I think you already know the answer to this one. Long hair does not cause migraines! Continue with the neurologist, use the bite guard for the TMJ and follow up with the PROFESSIONALS.

Why do many JWs neglect their health conditions?
by navytownroger inmy former bible study conductor has heart problems and very high blood pressure, but doesn't seem concerned about it.
another witness i knew had heart problems but never went to doctors, & eventually dropped dead suddenly.
given that cigarette smoking is a disfellowshipping offense, why aren't jws reprimanded when they otherwise neglect & jeopardize their health?

Because j hoover is gonna take all their woes away, he'll fix everything. Debt, any problems and of course medical issues just wait on j hoover. It's just around the corner, any minute now just hang on.
