I guess I'd have to say from infancy. But I truely don't remember ever being excited about the bible or anything that was being taught at those meetings. We had family bible study and I recited the expected lines but nothing stuck. To this day anything I've learned about doctrine and most religious stuff I've learned from reading on this board and it's still boring, LOL

I remember once my mother was so upset that I couldn't learn to recite the bible books like all the other good little witnoid kids. I guess she finally gave up thinking I was just a stupid kid, It was boring so I didn't learn anything.

But in school I excelled - go figure.

Feeling like such a horrible parent.

took my children to the park last night, as my daughter requested.

we walked to the park, overcome with this feeling of something bad was going to happen, but shrugged it off and proceeded to the destination.

we were there for only 20 minutes, as i was helping my 4 year old son, my daughter fell off the bars.

Your baby will be just fine and she will forgive you. Before you know it she be off to college and asking for money every other day.....uhm sorry

Give her lots of hugs and kisses and tell you are sorry she's hurt. Ice cream helps too And for mom

WHERE WERE YOU 7 YEARS AGO?

guess i'll be the first one to do an (inevitable) thread about 9-11. hard to believe it's been 7 years already.

i was at work when one of my co-workers came up and told me that a plane had hit the world trade center.

i thought it was awful, but i figured it was a small single engine plane that maybe lost its way in the fog.

I was at work on my way to get a cup of coffee and saw everyone standing around the TV in the conference room. As I walked in I saw the 2nd plane hit the south tower. My heart sank because my brother and NJ/NYC area, all I could get was a a recording that all line were down please try the call again later.

Finally around 3:00am my brother (not the one that worked in the WTC) called to tell me that my sister-in-law (his wife) was in the hospital but ok and my brother was fine. They couldn't get out of the city everything was shut down but they were ok. I lost 4 close family friends in this nightmare.

Elder #1 - always had kids around him, he had two a girl and a boy - he slept in the room with his son not his wife, and whenever we'd spend the night his daughter (4 years older than me) always made me get dressed and undressed in her closet - I'm sure he was a perv.

Elder #2 - self righteous arsehole!

Elder #3 - always tring to get into peoples business, nosey, nosey, nosey

Elder #4 - my dad - nice to everyone except his own children

Elder #5 - his kids were the worst and he always had something to say about everyone else's kids

Thats all I can remember so no they were not loving at all. Not that I care I didn't love them either.

keeping a straight face during the song is hard enough given the wacky lyrical content; the last thing i need is the "new sister" standing right behind me and loudly delivering a breathy, lispy, over-dramatic rendition of "stay asleep stand firm grow culty".

simon cowell is not listening in.

or how about that one guy every hall has who bawls the songs out, painfully out of tune, way louder than anyone else.

I think polls that support what I believe are accurate and worthwhile. If they support the other side I just have to assume they are badly flawed or even rigged

I admire you for being honest! That about sums it up really for everyone.

Check the news, the latest polls show Hillary looking much stronger against McCain than Obama.
Superdelegates will decide this one. And they will probably throw in for the candidate they think will win. That looks like Hillary! The Wright scandal has hurt Obama a LOT.
If superdelegates coronate Hillary, blacks are going to be so depressed it will supress voter turnout for them.
Without good turnout in the black community, the Dems will lose--even with Hillary.
It's a train wreck for the dems.

EDIT: Let me add that if Hillary were to take Obama as VP in this scenario....that changes things.
