god is not a reality it's a fantasy

i was reading the accounts of those who have decided to return to the jw's and i was struck by a common theme in the posters' reasons for going back.. that theme is fear and anxiety about the future and their place in it.. my advice is to trust in jesus of nazareth and not some promises made by the wt.
how can wt give you assurance of anything when they themselves are just as uneasy?.
read the wt studies that are done here; pay close attention to the wt paranoia.
god is not a reality it's a fantasy

jws teach that 'accurate knowledge' is the definition of truth.
they add to this by saying that the 'conduct' of average church goers also identifies them as not being in the 'truth.
' and, they define their 'organization' as being the truth, because they are a clean people who are doing right works, and teaching accurately.
IMO, truth and religion should not be in the same sentance.

you know, some of you say the j.w.
's see demons under the bed.. well, you know, some of you see j.w.

most ex-jw's df/da that i know end up living a dangerous life.
some get into drugs, prostitution, gangsterism, etc.
as a result they prove the jw theory that says "whoever leaves jehovah's organisation won't make it" right.. it's difficult for me to say this, but it seems like jw's are partly right on this one.. why do most ex-dubs end up in a predicament of some sort?
I was born in and promptly left at age 18, I've been married for 26 years, have 3 kids (all grown/no trouble), I have a Masters in Nursing Degree and have a very successful career. I've never been arrested, involved in gangs, never been a whore, no STD's.
However I do know several including my 2 elder brothers that have been df'd frequently and it seems to me that the ones who get df'd and come back and get df'd.....add nausea are the ones that go off the deep end. In my experience the ones that keep trying to play the double life are the ones that can't handle real life. JMO of course

it was on the history channel tuesday night.. if you kept in mind the j.w.
theory of a "paradise earth", you'd see it would be absolutely impossible for 6 or 7 , even 20 million people to "maintain" the earth to keep it in liveable condition, never mind a "paradise earth".. all that time i was watching it, i was hoping my daughter and son-in-law was looking at it, too.
i wanted to call them and tell them about it, but i am not allowed to "talk about anything that has a religious agenda" for fear of losing them.. did anyone else see it?.
Yup I saw it and had the same thoughts and feelings as you. I asked my brother (super dub elder) what he thought about it and he told me that he has trust in Jehoover that the earth will be turned into a paradise, Jehoover will take care of it all. He told me that if I only had "faith" that I wouldn't worry about such things. I had to laugh because I don't worry about "such things".
Can you say delusional?

i followed my instincts that the changes my 14 year old son is going through ran deeper than teenaged angst and i made an appointment for him to see a counselor through the county so he could talk to someone.
it took two months to get it.
we went yesterday, he and i. i spoke for a little about our life now, including the separation, the house, the jws, the shunning, my husbands alcoholism and his treatment of the kids, my husbands familial bipolar and depression and adhd...and then she spoke to my son separately.
I'm glad you persisted in getting him the help he needs. He's in the right place.
You and your son are in my thoughts, sending you good vibes!

i sure wish those doctors would finish that pill that lets you forget something you just experienced.

Oompa, life is what you make it and you are the only one that has control over your life, YOU have to change what makes you unhappy. Take control and stop being miserable.
New flash for you honey, life can deal you some pretty shitty hands sometimes. Things get complicated, it's up to you to take charge of how you allow those things to affect you.

i am starting the thread to provide a place for everyone tell their reasons for hating the watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc.. first off i want to say, i do not hate jehovah's witnesses.
i hate the wtbts; because, they kill people with their lunatic blood policy and destroy families with shunning.. my mother at age 48, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
the tumor could have been removed with surgery; but, that would have required blood so it didn't happen.
I hate the way they tear apart families and speaking from personal experiences, growing up JW is nothing short of HELL! You are expeced to be a "little adult" from age 0. No room for mistakes, growing or learning anything but JW issues. I think it stunts development and creates naive uneducated adults that have very little common sense.
I do hate the individual JW's who are arrogant, smug, hypocritical, judgemental know it all's.

i know of a 15 year old boy who is sliding deeper into substance abuse and everyone around him seems powerless to stop him from his self destructive behavior.
his parents are divorced, his father barely sees his son, his mother supports her 2 kids in the best way that she can but cannot control her son at all.
he smokes weed every day, been in trouble regularly with the law, is now selling prescription meds that he steals from family members---basically, he's either going to be dead or in jail if he doesn't get serious help.. any suggestions??
Geez...you sound like our parents when we were kids.
Yup! and that's all I can base it on is my experience of when I was a kid. I could ride my bike until it was dark and not worry, I could stand in front of my house without fear of being shot at or hit with a stray bullet, I could play outside and not have to deal with drug dealers, I could go on and on.
Things kids deal with today in 2009 I didn't have to deal with in the 60's and 70's. I never experienced a class mate being killed, my kids have. Some bring on the problems for themselves some have no choice because it's their enviornment and they can't escape it or don't know how.
