I saw red

this morning i went to the break room at work to get a cup of coffee.

a jw lady from the cong that i da'd from 5 years ago was in there.

normally she doesn't say anything to me, but today she smiles big at me and says in a sing-song voice, "he-ey, the memorial, april 7th!".

I know exactly how you felt. I will bite the head off of anyone who comes at me with JW BS.

But since finding this board I'm starting to chill out just a little bit. I was never really into the organization, was raised in it but never really got into it, I did it because I had no choice. So I have a hard time thinking "I used to be that way", because I wasn't. I hated this cult from a very early age and knew that I'd be gone just as soon as I turned 18, and that's exactly what I did.

So when JDUBS start talking all I see is RED!!!

Hang around a bit and read some posts, it may help you put a muzzle on the hatred, it's a slow process but venting and reading others stories helps alot!!

my field trip to Bethel

a few years ago, when i was an active witness, i went all the way from california to the east coast for vacation to visit my witness friend.

her family took me to bethel (one of the many things we did)...seriously, what was the big deal i've been hearing about my whole life how ," oh bethel is so great!

" when i finally saw it when i was 18, it was like walking through a building with a bunch of walls with pictures of paradise on the walls and watching random people do printing press stuff.

When I was growing up, we often took trips to Bethel (it was only 14 miles from where I lived), anytime we had out of town guests, it was a guaranteed trip to Bethel or the farm.

Each time it was more and more booooring, and the farm smelled so bad it took days to get the smell out of my nose.

My Dad died on Friday

i dont often post on here but lurk everday.

i was an elder for 11 years, raised as a witness from birth and eventually left in 2002 aged 42.. my dad died on friday aged 87. he was a witness baptized in 1940. he was congregation servant and then elder in hull, england.. we were arranging his funeral tonight with my 2 brothers who are still witness elders.

all they were interested in was what he had done in the "truth".

after 11 days in the hospital she came home today.

That's wonderful, not many people get that chance to say I'm sorry, I love you and build a relationship.

I'm so happy that you were able to. Keep your post's coming, I love them.

I still havn't been able to put a lot out there about my self, everyone's stories seem to be sooo deep. Not sure mine would be as interesting.

Anyway, look forward to more info from you!!

i have been inactive for about 3-4 years they want to meet with me(sure took them a long time) i'm not to sure what angle to go with.

i definitively do not believe in the borg.

The date has now been set i now will have a step mum :(

well where do i start as of the 21st of april 2007 i will have a step mum 2 step sisters and a step brother, and i think even a few step neices and nephews.. i will only ever see them officially on this wonderful happy one day that my dad gets married.

oh great joy !

other than this time i will never have anything to do with them.. now when i got the phone call to say that this wonderful event was happening it came to me that after the words that my dad had spoken to me only last week stating that he had been told by the elders that his is to limit his contact with his df children or he will be facing df himself.. when i go to this wedding i will be saying congrats to my dad and i will be sitting in the front row and will have lots to do with him as i'd say this will be last time i will ever have contact with him.

thebigestlie - havn't seen any post from the kid and i'm getting worried about him.
