I watch that show from time to time, I don't get scared anymore just wonder if it's real or not. I'm so glad I got over my demon phobia.

What's the worst thing that happened but you still made it to the meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inno matter if you are tired,sick,worked late,heavy snow,or any other reason,you were never to miss the meetings.
i went to a 2 day assembly with 4 teeth pulled the day before.
my gums were bleeding all day but i still went to the assembly .there was a brother who was in a bad car accident the week before with his daughter in a coma.

Once on a trip to upstate NY for a weekend convention - there was a really bad accident where a couple of people died. One of the "sisters" had a bunch of kids and they were all split up in different cars, she had a nervous breakdown because she was convinced that one of her million kids were dead.
They still dragged her delirious butt to the ASSembly for 2 days!

13-yr old girl writes: example of Witnesses lying
by Dogpatch ini get emails like this all the time.
some jw gets upset at the stuff on my site, and wanting to add more weight/shock value to what they say, they either mention in passing that they are "not one of jehovah's witnesses" or are a child.
this one claims to be a 13-yr old girl!

Update! Drew Sagan is no longer a Jehovah's Witness
by drew sagan inas promised here is all of the info regarding what has been going on.
per the last jc with the elders i realized that all i had done was buy time.
they felt that we should be df'ed right on the spot, but because i made a plea to wait for a letter coming back from the wts they decided to hold on taking such action.

moved on
by dogon inwell i have moved, for real, i lived with my husband of 25 years only 3 miles from my mother and father.
it seems that most of the witnesses they preferred to associate with, have all been disfellowshipped or divorced, or separated.
they have not called me or tried to visit me for over 2 years.

Unfortunately, you can't tell from the mispelled words or the lack of being able to put together a sentance properly, whether she is 13 or not since most JW's can't spell or form a sentance due to the lack of education. If they have been to and completed schooling it's half assed because no importance is placed on education, just preach, meeting, preech, meeting!!!
Why do you need education when Jehoover is going to take care of everything???

Update: So I've been going to some meetings (and other things)
by WingCommander ini've been absent from this board from some time, as i've been through alot the past few months.
firstly, my mother passed away after complications from her surgery.
so i've lost my entire family since 1999. i'm an only child.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom!
I would never be mad at anyone for the decision you make personally. I do have to wonder why anyone would go back to such a cult, I really don't understand what the big deal is about the trinity, to me that is just one aspect of a religion, when you look at the whole picture, can you honestly not only go back but go back "half assed"?
I've been out for quite awhile now, but I don't see any dramatic changes (still have family in) in what they believe and/or teach. I they definetly will not quietly sit by while you pick and choose what to celebrate or have your child participate in. The may be quite now, because they want you back "in the fold", but I don't see it lasting. It's sorta like when you are first studying, they give you that leaway then once they have you all hell breaks loose, unfortunately at that point it's too late to back out without consequences.
Good luck and I hope your child does not come out of this damaged!
