  leaving the society was scary at first but i had to make myself grin and bear it.

  i have renewed my relationship with christ and i am looking foward to his wonderful blessings in my future.

  now that i am finally worshipping him in spirit and truth and i have the hope of going to heaven someday.

  I usually start of in a teeshirt and shorts maybe socks. But when I wake up I'm usually naked

  Now the story I get from hubby is that I take them off during the night because of hot flashes, but I wonder about his story

  Mimi's Surgery

  i've gotten a few pm's asking how mimi is doing after her surgery so i decided to make this topic and post some pictures of her.

  for those of you that don't know mimi is my italian greyhound and she had a chronic ear infection that would not clear up.

  the vet decided that the best course of action was surgery.

  Are We Any Better Than the Witnesses?

  i have just been on this board a short time.

  i have been visiting it for years, however, via the freeminds site since i left the jws in the late 1990s.. but there is so much anger and pain and hatred--especially for people who still want to believe in some kind of god or religion--on this board that it doesn't seem to be so healthy of a place.

  I'm no better than anyone JW or non and I don't feel that anyone is better than me.

  Everyone will never agree on any one subject, if that were the case then we'd be no better off than being JW or any other cult that expects people to think, feel, speak, walk, etc the same. We are individuals with different opionins and we are free to voice those opinions.

  BTW, it's not just the non-believers that are mean

  Visit with my uncle

  well, yesterday was probably the last time i'll see my uncle alive.

  we got to the hospital and my three cousins were there with their children (who i haven't seen in many many years).

  if i thought there was a magnificent spiritual being who cared for me, i would pray every day, not just if i felt low and had no one else to talk to.

  we don't spend time with friends only when the going gets tough.

  we share the good as well as the bad.
