i've been feeling worse every minute, my body aches, my head hurts, my eyes burn and i feel like i've been run over by a mack truck and i just want to lay down and go to sleep.
it's official i think i have the flu .
Hortensia - your pharmacist is right, the antiviral meds usually only shorten the flu by 1-2 days and most insurance companies don't cover it. So you end up paying for expensive meds and feeling better in about the same amount of time.
I do take vitamin C every day and had my flu shot so hopefully that will lessen my symptoms a little.

I have two patients to come in, they better be on time I really feel bad I had a 89 year old lady this morning and she'll probably be sick next week
I think I'll stay in bed tomorrow.
BTW - Hubby called and is home feeling bad. I'm sure he'll be whining all evening you know how guys are when they are sick. Probably got it from him

for 2 days now the most bizarre thing has happend.
i go to lunch and have my usual pear after my crackers - half way through the pear one of my mates said something funny but not that funny - i was in hystifical fits of laughter (like i'd smoked a fat joint) the tears were running down my face.
today, fininshed my pear and the same mate brought up yesturdays scene - and that was me, but worse off - and the thing i was laughing about really wasn't that funny - but tears rolling down - man it was the most fantastic 2 laughs i've had this year.. i think my pears have been spiked..

i saw the news item, and was going to pass it on to dad but he beat me to it....someone had already e-mailed him about it.
his e-mail was from cnn which stated jw's are fastet growing, but also dead last in retaining those raised in that faith....yeah!

On the pepsi thing - it's also bad for your bones as in Osteoporosis. If you have a family history you may want to limit your intake to help protect your bones.

i have so much crap piled on that i feel like i'm starting to crack, and honestly, as i'm sure many other silentlambs can relate to, i start to get incredibly angry that not only do i have to deal with this sh*t at all, but also that despite my best efforts, conscious efforts, to overcome things, to heal and to move on with a healthy life, i still have times where i feel like it just breaks me.

How about a support group that has a counselor or even a member that can relate to what you've been through? I'm just throwing that out there I really have no idea where to start but I do understand not being able to afford the professional therapist/counselor. I'm going to ask around, I don't think you are in my area but I work for a University Hospital. I'll ask what the policy is for those who can't afford or insurance doesn't cover services. Maybe they have some ideas that you could check into in your area.
I'll PM you with any information I find out.
