in elementary school, the teachers would allow parents to bring in brownies/cake/cupcakes/ice cream to celebrate a studen'ts birthday.. and you were supposed to leave.
or tell the teacher that you would not be partaking of pagan desserts.. but.
did you actually leave?.

he was born yesterday with many complications including breathing problems, possible lung underdevelpment, anemia and body temperature issues.
the poor little guy was hooked up to a breathing tube and tons of monitors.
because the hospitals couldn't handle some of the problems, they sent him and my daughter to the best hospital in boston last night.
Congrats min and my thought are with your family

Congratulations! Education is the key to your future, don't stop now. Enroll in college classes even if you take 1 or 2 a semester.

in a recent thread about an nfl player being allowed to return to play after being convicted and serving time for a felony, it was suggested that maybe his ancestory played a part in his attitudes and actions.. those of you were playing along at home know the deal.... is it fair to lay blame on one's ancestors in how one acts in today's society?.
i think not.... my ancestor's came here from scotland, when their lands were taken from them back home.
they came here with nothing and had to start over in a land with next to nothing, eeking out an existance in the mountains of tn and nc, always struggling.
Ok, I tried to stay out of this thread but this really pissed me off:
And conversely, blacks have C-R-A-C-K H-O-U-S-E-S. It's all good
Wow min, i'm black and I don't have a C-R-A-C-K-H-O-U-S-E Not just blacks live in poverty, engage in drug sale/use, are criminals, etc... just in case you didn't realize that. Have your disagreement with sylvia but don't paint all blacks with a negative stroke.

if a cop asked you if he could search your vehicle, would you let him?.
if a cop asked you personal information would you feel obliged to answer him?.
do you believe that a police officer has the "right" to question you about a matter simply because he's a cop?.
No
No

yeah, i hated "field circus".
i don't like bothering people on saturday mornings about the latest watchtower & awake magazines and try to convert them from their religon to become a jehovah's witness.
so, what i did was just wait until the group passes by and fake knocked.
I'm proud to say that I've never had a bible study with anyone! And I was the queen of the fake door knock or bell ring until my mother busted me

i told the elder doing the pre-baptism stuff that i didn't really want to get baptized.. at the ass-embly, i didn't say the baptismal vows.
just stood there.
the attendant was mouthing, "say it", to me, or something like that, but i didn't.. when i got to the tank, the first time the dude dunked me without warning.
That's too funny rebel - I think I would have said forget it had that been me!
I remember people asking me if I felt different too. I didn't probably cause it meant nothing to me sort of like going to the meeting, fs, giving talks just something I had to do at the time.

petting baby animals in paradise, or the fiery rain of armegeddon?.
i can tell you which one i thought about every single day.
armegeddon absolutely terrified me.
Definately the big A - I always thought it would come while I was at school and because my parents always told me that because I was little Jehoover would judge me according to what kind of witnesses they were, I thought it meant that they had to be with me when it happened.
So I was scared that my parents wouldn't be around to protect me from Jehoover's wrath!
That was when I was around 5or 6 then I wised up and figured it was all BS havn't been scared since.
