Hebrews 8:7-9: If that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need for a second.
For he does find fault with the people when he says:
“‘Look! The days are coming,’ says Jehovah, ‘when I will make with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their forefathers on the day I took hold of their hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not remain in my covenant, so I stopped caring for them,’ says Jehovah.

Hebrews 8:13: In his saying “a new covenant,” he has made the former one obsolete. Now what is obsolete and growing old is near to vanishing away.

i think it is reasonable for every leader or head of any organization that has control of peoples thinking and actions should, by law, submit to a lie detector test.
the results would be accessible to any one who had an interest in the matter.this test would be required before appointment to any position and on a yearly basis.
questions could be submitted to a competent and unbiased committee for approval.
* Does the Bible say anything about the year 1919?
* Does the Bible say anything about the year 1914?
* Do you believe you are going to Heaven?
* Do you believe in God?
* Do you receive messages from Heaven?
it is time for christians to accept evolution, in my opinion.. there are many reasons why i think it is long overdue for all christians to finally accept what science says about evolution.
below i will show these reasons.. .
the bible tells people to pay attention to nature to see the glory of god (psalm 19; romans 1:19-20).
I find it ironic that atheists are strongly arguing that the Bible must be interpreted literally, even though it's been interpreted allegorically ever since church father Origen, probably before him even.
Atheists WANT the Bible to be interpreted literally so they can have something to attack.
If it's a symbolic parable or allegory, atheists have nothing left to attack.
Quote from Wikipedia.com :
Some Jews and Christians have long considered the creation account of Genesis as an allegory instead of as historical description, much earlier than the development of modern science. Two notable examples are Augustine of Hippo (4th century) who, on theological grounds, argued that everything in the universe was created by God in the same instant, and not in six days as a plain account of Genesis would require;[2] and the 1st century Jewish scholar Philo of Alexandria, who wrote that it would be a mistake to think that creation happened in six days or in any determinate amount of time.[3]

Adam and Eve (and also Noah's Flood) can simply be a Parable for mankind falling deeply into the sins of murdering, enslaving, raping, stealing, plus greed and selfishness.
And Jesus came to liberate us and elevate from those evil things.
governing body member david splane has a new video on tv.jw.org where he talks about all the horrible things committed by martin luther and the protestant reformers.. his conclusion is that there has been no faithful and discreet slave on the earth during the past 1900 years (before 1919 i guess.).
he also says that maybe there were a few anointed on earth, maybe not.. he did add an interesting statement that he doesn't condemn the other churches just for misunderstanding the bible because the society has done that.. another odd point, was that he actually mentioned catholic missionary work in a somewhat positive light, while totally condemning the reformation views on predestination..
And I forgot to mention this Scripture also, which could present more logical problems with this new view from David Splane:
Matthew 28:20: teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! **I am with you all the days** until the conclusion of the system of things.”
matthew 16:18: also, i say to you: you are peter, and on this rock i will build my congregation, and the gates of the grave will not overpower it.. and yet, the very latest david splane video on tv.jw.org says there was no faithful slave for 1900 years and no true congregation, and perhaps not even any anointed living.. how does this scripture make any sense then?.

clarified understandings / new light of the past 7 years or so:.
* the faithful and discreet slave is only the governing body and only since 1919.. * the faithful slave was appointed in 1919 by jesus but it will not receive its greater authority until the judgment of the sheep and goats.. * charles taze russell was not part of the faithful and discreet slave.. * there was no slave for 1900 years before 1919.. * there may not have been any anointed during those 1900 years, but it's possible there were a few.. * 1935 was not the cut-off date for the selection of the anointed-- this selection is still ongoing.
* 1935 has no special biblical significance.. * 1918 has no special biblical significance.. * gog of magog is not satan, but is a coalition of nations, who may be ruled by the mysterious king of the north.. * there is no evil slave class.
I totally forgot to include the New Light from 2012:
* The Toes on the Statue in Daniel now represent America and Britain since 1914, NOT the previous view that they were the political powers that weren't united in the Last Days.

One other thought I had:
Are you offended at the mention of the U.S. Constitution because the Founders owned slaves, or were Pro-Slavery?
Do you insist on rejecting anything to do with the Constitution?
Or, do you instead, try to improve the Constitution and get people to use modern morals to better interpret it?
Why is this all-or-nothing, throw the baby out with the bathwater philosophy only applied to the Bible and not to the government or the Constitution?
