  A calmer, more serene, moment in time.....

  four weeks ago, my only child, my daughter, was asked to leave my home.

  it was tough love.

  she has spent the previous 3 years incarcerated.

  These young children are so very lucky to have you. I truely admire your comitment to them, and their wellbeing.

  You are kind precious people, enjoy the serene moment you are experiencing, enjoy the time with these youngsters whilst they are growing.

  I can sense through your posts that you'll do everything within your power to give them a safe and happy childhood.

  Kindest thoughts and best wishes. When you get your new carpet, remind the kiddies to take off their shoes!

  what are your favorite jw guilt trips?

  mine are: "you hurt my feelings when you say things like that" and "oh i pray to jehovah, that you will come back, what did we do wrong with you"

  'If you leave the trooth, then you'll lose your family and your home'

  Funny thing is when my sister left the troof, went raising hell, pole dancing, getting pregnant, she lost neither.

  When I left, I lost my mum and any kind of welcome into my family home.

  Double standards. Bl**dy hypoctrites!

  You are really amongst friends. people who have been through everything that you have gone through and some of us even more. We don't judge. We disagree from time to time though.. but thats the beauty of being ex dub.. we can actually beg to differ without it being a life or death... non-shunning or shunning matter!!

  My Story, Chaper 5 - "They're making this sh*& up!"

  shortly after i received my associates degree, i quit pioneering.

  i told the body of elders is was because my mother had fallen on some hard times, and i needed to get a full-time job to support the family.

  they asked me if it was because i felt bad for not having gas money.

  Ok I am Freaking Out Right Now!

  ok so in a previous post i told all of you a little bit about my inlaws and what they put my husband and i through.

  i asked all of you if you thought it was ok to keep them cut off and out of our lives, if it was the right thing to do.

  many of you posted and stated that you thought my husband and i were doing the right thing and i thank you all for making me feel better in my decision.

  agreeing with WorldTraveler.

  Any children that may be there... protect them please from biggoted religious people who have only thier religious opinions to force onto others,

  Children need to be protected foremost.

  If these relatives dont have kindess in thier hearts, best wishes and hoping for peace in your family... then dont let them in!

  What did you learn as a JW that helps you in your work today

  note: if you are cautious about being outted then be very careful what you post.. the biggest thing i learned was sign language.

  after i left i had a few jobs interpreting.. public speaking - didn't help me at all - that could be because speaking to someone else on the platform doesn't gives women an opportunity to address the audience.

  i took a intro course in public speaking that was far better than 22 years of the ministry school.. i'm thinking .

  So SORRY Lady lee; what I have learned is that my opinion matters just as much as any one elses. That differences in those opinions do happen but mine is valid as well as anybody elses.

  I am very good at communitcating and getting my point across within the workplace. This is NOT something that was relavent when I was witless, I just did as I was told.

  However the freedom I now have, has allowed me to express myself and not to give up until the other person understands where I'm coming from,

  I have a confindence that I have never had before.. can any one else relate?
