Rooster,
can you please explain to me what this scripture you posted means? Can you answer my question from my first post in your own words? thank you.
greetings people,.
i've completed a lengthy conversation with my father about the bible and jws and said to him:.
jws place a lot of emphasis when studying and preaching with others on one main thing about what the bible is mainly about; that is the devil and those who practise his works and how to avoid him and them and for everlasting life on earth.. i asked my father, who is the biggest enemy of god and jesus?

Greetings people,
I've completed a lengthy conversation with my father about the bible and JWs and said to him:
JWs place a lot of emphasis when studying and preaching with others on one main thing about what the bible is mainly about; that is the devil and those who practise his works and how to avoid him and them and for everlasting life on earth.
I asked my father, who is the biggest enemy of God and Jesus? He said the devil. That means the devil is also the enemy of all mankind. Yes he said. Fine.
But Jesus says to love your enemy and encourages us to pray for our enemies. What is going on here? am I missing something? All posters who were once JWs how did you respond to this situation when and if it was ever brought up during study with non JWs? How were you instructed to respond by your former elders from the congregation?
Love a response, cheers
i've had in the past studied a little about the bible with jws but have yet decided to be baptised.. i've just read lavenders' moving letter to her son and her love and well being for him is very obvious.
i do like the bible teachings very much and to this day i'm very interested in the end of the system of things which will very soon come to fruition; i'm a very strong believer, however i must stipulate to all, in retrospect i'm not sinless.
one of the posters says that jw's ask you to do a liitle bible study with them, attend one of their meetings and when you get baptised you have to do exactly what you are instructed or else.
Jgnat and poppers,
I apologise, your line was interpreted not as you intended according to jgnat. I looked at it from a different perspective because I repeated myself several times in previous posts. No malice intended.

Popers,
continue with what you want to say, now that you have the attention; make it quick and interesting because I don't meditate and philosiphise.
Interesting profile you have.

Don't these elders and other JWs know and practise the story about the good Samaritan; they just ramble on about it from door to door. I cannot accept this anymore because in the kingdom halls JWs are instructed to report any eminent danger or threat to the flock but when a battered woman desperately needs help she's told by elders "to pray more" "we don't involve ourselves in domestics". I'll tell you what it is, they are not qualified to conduct any social work at any level but they love to gossip about others matters; they get their jollies off. They are the biggest culprits and liars.
This thing about not defaming God's name by seeking outside help is the death of all abused JWs. It is impssible to defame God's name when you are abused and seek help; it's crazy, beyond comprehension. Now I know what it means to be programmed. People become JWs to better themselves, their lives and well being by honestly serving God and enter a world of all forms of violence just to make their elder partners look good in the presence of others. Isn't this exactly what JWs say they don't do, that is demonstate their upstading worthiness, or show they are better than others when they go door to door?
From all I've read it's all a show.

I am still reading shock horror stories on silentlamb.org and to my astonishment, why hasn't any person subjected to the violence and brutality leashed upon them try to use a recording mechanism such as a miniature video camera or audio equipment from spy shops neatly concealed without being conspicuous to record their experiences and show these ignorant elders proof of truth so they will not be able to use their "2 witnesses are required to corroborate a guilty verdict" rule. If that fails take the recorded medium to the real authorities, the press, the internet and expose them. Make sure beforehand you get many coppies. SIMPLE.

Hello all,
I've just been reading some disturbing articles from the silent lambs website about child abuse and I feel like becoming a vigilante. There is more I need to read about the worldwide organization to learn about the corruption which is being unsuccessfully suppressed by the "God appointed leaders". This has prompted me to ask who are the 11 corporate leaders of the WTs?
Are they wealthy?
From where does the source of wealth originate?
Are JWs required to mandatory donate a fixed sum of money or a fixed percentage of their income?
My understanding is Jesus said to his Apostles "without charge I teach, without charge you shall teach". In 1931 they changed their name from International Bible Students to Jehovah's Witnesses; was this instruction from God himself or was it make it more appealing to the masses?
Did the WTs change God's name to Jehovah from YEHWAH; if so with whose authority and how? Did God send these 11 representatives an e-mail, fax or telegram to do so? (not being clever here)
Is Gods name YHWH, YEHWAH or Jehovah?
How do the masses know for certain that the leaders of the WTs are truly part of the 144,000 chosen to serve Gods Kingdom? Do they really communicate directly with God? or are they just a corrupt bunch of corporate criminals using the name of God and Jesus to instill fear in people
How do they directly communicate with God as they say?
I would very much like to know these things. All help welcomed.
when i was 17 i got pregnant (omg)!!!
i was in a meeting with 3 elders from my nj cong.
and the questions they asked:.
SeanGuy,
I am not a JW and never will be; I will give you advice; go find a woman and let her do whatever she wants to you; you have no idea how pleasurable it is for both of you instead of coming on this forum to get your jollies reading others sexual encounters you repressed "blessed" one.
Get on your bike and don't forget your pump.
i found this website a few days ago, and ive stayed up until 3 and 4 a.m. every night since reading the all-too-familiar stories.
i applaud you for sharing your stories and being so open and caring to others who venture onto this site.
i wish id had you 9 years ago when i was dfd.
Dictatorship, pure dictatorship being imposed on blood relatives. Keep strong and believe in yourself. Jehovahs way to raise children is not with anger, but with by his wise and loving counsel; NOT WITH WHIPS OR RODS. Bloody psychos.
I apologise for my outburst but reading all this infuriates me how what is preached is not practised. Read my posts if you have time.
Don't take crap from anyone.

Hello Salmon,
I would definitely like to hear more about your experiences if permissable; wish I had you all at my place face to face to exchange experiences for as long as it takes. This issue is very sensitive affecting ones life for many years and sometimes irreversable due to the the stigma one carries permanently on their shoulders.
Cheers, now I do know
