Just a question and a suggestion for a start:

Do you think the New Testament texts were accurately transmitted? (yes or no, why and how). Yes, so many copies were carefully made , spreading to different lands, that additions are quickly seen- since they were only in a few in a certain area. Scholars also have many techniques to discern additions- such as differences in inks & hand-writing.

Read Romans chapter 10 in any Bible except the NWT; try to understand what point Paul is trying to make, and how the quotation of Joel in v. 13 serves his argument. When you get it, switch to the NWT and see what happens.What did you see "excercis faith" instead of "believe"? "Jehovah" instead of "LORD"? It seems the same to me- just easier to understand.

Very good, Newbie! I'll give my 5 cents after each of yer questions! You wrote: Here are just a few questions for you Mr. Mad:

5- Please show me the "scriptural principle" that disallowed "Alternative Service" for 50 years. Please comment on why tens of thousands of brothers had to go to prison for such a policy that was finally made a conscience matter, without any apologies? None; human stupidity- and the 'Lemming Mentality' of those that blindly follow men!

6- Please show us the scriptural principle that supports today's WT policies prohibiting blood transfusions completely, allowing certain blood fractions, not allowing other smaller more vital fractions, not storing your own blood (since mosaic law was done away with), allowing JW's to dip into the world's blood supply by accepting fractions, but not be allowed to put back into that very same supply they can take from? I'm not even sure of the 'current policy'! I simply will not ever take anything with blood- obeying the command of Holy Spirit!

7- Please show us the scriptural principle where those that simply walk away from the WT faith, without sinning, have to be shunned and labeled? None; human stupidity!

Why worry if there is no hell???

anyone ever wonder why ...if there is no hell and we are not going to burn etc etc because god is a loving god......why do we bother because w'all going to die and we are not going to be observing the righteous jw's enjoying through a glass window while we are suffering on the other side......just wondering?

How did the "Truth" set YOU free ?

the bible says that the truth will liberate you or set you free.. the watchtower applies this to their religion as if their "truth" sets people free.. if that's the case, how were you set free when you became a jw?.

The Jehovah's Witness Cult Hires Illegal Immigrants

working in retail management is a never ending adventure.

you never know what is lurking around the next corner.

such was the case about six months ago when my boss asked me to stay over on a sunday night to watch the store while a floor cleaning crew did a strip and wax.. now with my self being a former jehovah's witness, i already knew that a great deal of the jw's owned and operated their own floor cleaning buisnesses, and there was a good chance that the floor crew on that sunday night would more than likely be a jw operation.. when the guys first walked in, i just had a feeling that my hunch was right.

The Bank of America is now setting up Checking Accounts for 'Illegal Aliens'- there is plenty of things to pick on us about; that is a cheesy one! As time goes by, more & more laws are being passed contradicting other laws, and also making it harder & harder to carry out! There are ENDLESS businesses owned by 'Christians' of different denominations that do the same thing; the government has ruined the business environment for small businesses! But that's another topic! Instead of zeroing in on faults, why not try virtues? Think we don't have any? What wonderful chuch do YOU go to? Or are you just someone keeping to yourself while criticizing those that try? Mad

does the belief that there is no all-loving diety in which to be accountable to make it easier or harder to treat and judge others they way that you want to be treated and judged?.

since evolution supposes that life and ultimately man who is at the top of the chain got here through a process of the fittest dominating and killing off the weaker, and since most modern evolutionists in democracies no longer think that this is good to practice, how do you deal with the fact that you are a living contradiction of your own belief since you pronounce the same thing both good and bad?

Is it possible to have a intellegent conversation with a JW?

not resorting to name calling, yelling, belittling ones religion, being able to express your ideas, etc.

also, are there any active jw forums that non/ex jws go, and preach the gospel to the jws?

Just curious to know if you were "in" then and if you even noticed the irony/hypocrisy. I think you might be surprised how those little comments just get overlooked when a person is in full-on cult mode." Nope- missed it! "Shunning" in ANY church is proper- ONLY if the person in question pretends to be a Christian- and continues to do wicked things without remorse- and is unwilling to change. Sometimes one is disfellowshipped/shunned without that being the case- and that is wrong! Mad

That sounds pretty hokey to me; I've NEVER heard that in over 30 years of being in different congregations... You're either fabricating that- or there were some SICK puppies there- who have nothing in common with the rest of us (JWs)! Mad
