we went to a viewing and funeral for a 5 year old little girl that died of cancer tonight.

it made me think about the witness funeral's i've gone to in the past.

We went to a viewing and funeral for a 5 year old little girl that died of cancer tonight. It was in their family church. It made me think about the Witness funeral's I've gone to in the past. I never remember them having the viewing at the Kingdom Hall, it was always at the funeral home, and then maybe the funeral at the KH Do any of you remember ever going to a viewing at the hall. I know that JW's believe that wakes have a connection to spiritism but all the witness funerals I've gone to did have a viewing, just not at the KH. Does anyone know why?

Isn't it funny how we all experience the SAME things while being JW's?
My husband was accused of neglecting us (his family) by our PO because I went back to work in order to buy a new car. The PO said that since my husband had a motorcycle he rode to work, a 1970's Camero he bought in 2001, that my husband must be spending all our money on toys therefore the need for me to go back to work.
Of course, the PO had no idea what he was talking about especially since I had not accused my husband of this.
My husband asked him if he knew how much money made? Did he realize that both the motorcycle and the Camero were paid for? That the motorcycle saved us money in gas for him to drive to work? That he got the Camero for $300 cash? Of course the po had to answer NO to all the questions. My husband proceeded to tell the PO that we hadn't had a car payment in 10 years and we didn't go out and buy a Mercedes like the PO had, we bought a modest car (Mazda Protege). He also made it quite clear that buying this car was taking care of his family.
The PO had nothing to say about it after that.

I am going to work on some others. Some local churches have requested that we put together a class for them, I thought that this could be the first part of our presentation and then we could go into questions on doctrine ect. Any suggestions??

There are incidents where murderers (after having been baptized as JW) have been protected by the elders and congregation. These elders knowing that they committed murder but did not want to testify against them because these crimes were before the murderers got baptized.

I place murder in the video not only because of the blood issue but also because there are documented accounts where murderers after having become baptized have been protected by the congregation and elders. But point taken.

Were You Ever Falsely Accused By The Elders Regarding Anything???

I was accused of having an affair with my boss that happened to be a witness with my 7 and 9 year old children present. The PO tried to have a meeting with me without opening it with prayer, he told me he didn't have to. I looked him straight in the eye and told him I wasn't some lay catholic that he could boss around, if he was going to TRY to council me he WOULD open with prayer or I was leaving because that meant that they did not have Jehovah's backing.
My husband was falsly accused of wanting to wife swap with this same person, he was also accused and had his priviledges taken away because the elders didn't think he was really serious when he and I were dating (I guess he proved them wrong when we got married and stayed married, all their kids dated around and then all ended up divorced).
Oh we were also falsly accused of starving our children. I guess because our kids actually went outside to play and were therefore fit and weren't obese like the rest of them it meant we weren't feeding them.
