  GB grapevine news

  the gb grapevine news is that one of the older gb members conscientiously no longer feels he is one of the anointed (yeah i guess there's still one or two who still have a conscience) .

  not a big news item but i found it very interesting, the "cracking" at the top continues!.

  hello islandwoman..

  Now this got my attention. Who was the older memember that renounced his claim to be of the anointed. More importantly if this is true, which I doubt...this would have serious implications. I mean after all they have trashed younger ones who started partaking for years... Saying that only those who had decades of dedicated(JW) experience could be the only ones who had a real anointing. Secondly they would have to give a reason why the brother was asked to leave the governing buddy.
  But I wish this was true.

  hello Teejay,

  Thought and thought about this for sometime. How I would answer you. I was taught by gramms to think before you speak, so I have thought and now will answer you to the best of my ability.
  I have been on both sides of the issue. I have seen the best and the worst of the WBTS-yes I do have good memories. I dont totally have a waste of a life, but wonder now where I would be now if I had taken a different direction earlier. I have one regret though, I wish I had not been a hypocrite for so long. But I had a lot to lose. I played the game for those I loved and didnt want to lose. That sucks. My major problem with the WBTS is with the leadership, not rank and file.
  Take for example the issue of child abuse. I almost get the impression by some of the posters here that the problem lays with the whole organization. In other words the rank and file go along with the stand of the leadership.I do not agree with this at all. I know of cases where r/f members stood up for what was right. When posting post here we have to be carefull to make the distinction. Every case is different. We cant sterotype anyone. I find it interesting that the Society is now where the world in general was 20-30 years ago. In denial about the whole subject. I was molested at 5-by non jw, and have never seen any justice. The blame really goes to the leadership here.
  There is a recent post that asked the question can you get witnesses to tell the truth about who they really are. I find this strange. Do you think r/f really know what is going on behind the scenes? Does the average witness even take an interest in their own history? No is the answer.You have to realise that in the jw world to question GB is a very dangerous attitude-why it is presumptuos to challenge those Jehovah has appointed to lead his "org". They do not feel they are living a lie. They feel their faith is genuine. They feel their ministry has value, and that the literature contains vital info.
  The problem I see here that disturbs me about jw mantality is that they let a group for men do all their major decision making.God's word can only be understood with the help of the GB period. I feel that well meaning people have allowed themselves to be reduced to parrots. I thought that the whole process of being a witness was to aid me in having a real relationship with Jesus and Jehovah. But as it turned out in my case this has not proved to be so. I have not let God speak to me thru the pages of his word. Rather I saw man made regulations getting in the way of this process.I find it disturbing that questioning Society actions is the same as apostacy towards Jehovah.
  The Society must be held accountable for its actions not only before men, but more importantly before God. Those who expose the failings honorably, my hat goes off to these ones. We shouldnt make this a mission to get jws out of the Society. All we can do is provide them with the facts and let nature take its coarse. If they choose to stay in the wt world does that make them bad-I dont think so, as we cant read their minds or hearts. I can never trash what I once was. Its like some here have forgotten what motivated the average jw to do what they do, and to put up with what they put up with. The honestly feel they are being loyal to God

  What Satanic Rituals???

  in a recent post metatron and judith mentioned in passing that dubs they knew had been involved in satanic rituals.

  forgive my morbid curiousity, but exactly what sorts of rituals were these?.

  bear in mind that as dubs we were told that the rituals of the roman catholic church were satanic, that smurfs were satanic, that rock'n'roll was satanic, etc., etc.

  Wait! Doesnt that Fred guy look like Satan. I heard after the meeting he goes to the Library and drinks the blood of one unlucky chicken. His familiar is one of those walking, talking smurfs. With a spell he sends it out to find new victims to satisfy his chicken blood lust!
  Yes it is true other duds have seen this evil deed, but he could blackmail them into silence cause he caught some of them fornicating in the bathroom at the Hall.

  Apostasy?

  has the label apostasy been stretched by the wts to fit a multitude of sins in recent years or am i just imagining it?

  aren't people either disfellowshipped for adultery, fornication, or apostasy now days?

  or is conduct unbefitting a christian still in vogue?.

  hey Merilyn,

  Apostacy has come to the for frount because for the first time many people are questioning the teachings of the WT. The inconsistencies can no longer be ignored.
  The major difference being, questioning the Society can give you the label Apostate. We were taught to conform in every way. In the WT system one learns to become a zoombie-easy to spot those outta line.
  Funny thing is how many people became apostates because they defied the Truth of the Bible. I thought the Society was supposed to be secondary to Jehovah.

  Kind of reminds me of the time I was in the hen house. The fox said trust me. I know where you can find some really juicey worms, but you got to go with me. All the while he was showing his sharp teeth. Ignoring this, several hens followed him...but before they went the asked me why I was so stupid and didnt go along with them. They balked at me saying I was just trying to be a trouble maker. Being smug off they went. Well guess what they never returned. Funny thing is the smart ol fox returned. Others followed, ignoring what had happened to the first group. Then one day some hens in the house took notice of what I said, so when the fox came back they said no way. You have been exposed for what you really are.The fox left hungry that day!

  When I awaken from this dream I realise I am spinning round and round, under me are some hot coals. And look !every one is well dressed for dinner.

  To Outlaw. Nice to meet you, but to answer your question as to how evil I am..well I never kiss and tell..one clue, though, I love married oral sex! Gramms, being one of the anointed, I thought could handle my questions on the subject. She just blushed and walked away, her passing comment was why ask her. She hadnt cohabited with a man for nearly 60 years!

  To Nate. I do have a supernatural power(jw's would say I am demonized). I can see thru B.S.-excepted when it is encased in lead.

  Hey Folks,
  Just a newbie here. I love the post here on this site. Many of the well thought out and thought provoking. I am happy, my out come with a very sad event. My gramms who had been a witness since 1912 passed away about a month ago. I had to pretend to be a witness so I could stay close and take care of her-famdamily would have never allowed an apostate help care for her. Anyway I am free of the bonds of Watchtower slavery!
  What makes me sad is how many on this site belittle and trash the average witness. Why is this? Please explain this attitude? Many of us were once in their shoes, so does comming to our senses make us more superior to those who choose to remain with the WTBS.
  It makes me sad that the GB will not own up to their error and how the r/f pay the price. It just makes me sick.
