Here's what I think they mean.
The generation that discerned 1914, spanned 30 years. Say at age 14 you could discern, that would make those born after you by 20 years, still belonged to your generation. That would make those born up to 1930 still eligible to be considered "this generation" by the WTS previous "this generation" standard.
This accounts for the distinction of older and younger members of "this generation", and places the youngest members at age 80.
It buys them maybe 10 years?

If I can remain in until the article is studied at the KH it would be fun to comment at the meeting and ask "am I the only one bothered by this? am I the only one that thinks this is a bunch of nonsense? this doesn't make sense" ... do you think if we did this at meetings others would reason? I suppose not, and it would most likely be the final opportunity to make a comment.
If you do, I hope you record it and upload it here.

You're smart enough to make me have to look up lucubration.
Because I wasn't smart enough to know what it meant.

That definition, by its very nature makes it impossible for one to know if the proof is a sighting.
Agreed, I see your point. However, one need not have these experiences alone. I won't say any more about it, because it will cross into the old philosophical argument about how we can't prove each others existence.
Can I prove that you exist? If I have others confirm it, do they really exist? and so on
At some point, as you have experiences, as others confirm them or experience the same thing, you make up your mind as to whether they are delusions or not. If you are objective, and learn your own mind, and are honest with yourself, you should be able to trust yourself. Or end up in a padded cell, but then the padded cell might itself be an illusion.
Either way, God or no God, receptor for energetic communication or result of evolutionary need for God, in the long run it doesn't matter.
If you search and become comfortable with your "spirituality" and it makes you happy, great. If you decide that it's not worth the trouble and become an atheist, great. The outcome is the same either way, we die. If there is a God, it is impossible to tell what s/he wants from us, no rules. If there is no God it doesn't matter how you live your life, again no rules.
No good, no bad. Those are human constructs.

Furor grows over Arizona's illegal immigration law

why are the illegal immigrants demanding their rights?
they're illegal, they don't have the rights of an american citizen because they are not citizens.

Please, think about your grand parents. How did they come to the States?
My great-grandparents came through the docks on the east coast after being starved out of their own country, were treated like animals, worked as slaves to the rich, and lived in slums. But it was done LEGALLY. Too bad all countries don't share a border with the US.
And in response to the comment above about letting the Mexicans in and giving them free health care... they already have it. Here in Colorado, they have Medicaid, paid by citizen tax dollars. But citizens don't have free health care.
When my daughter needed public assistance after her ex left her and their 6 week old son, they told her they couldn't do anything for her because she isn't a minority.
and to Sapphire, you make it sound so easy. Trust me, it is not. There are only a few green card numbers that come up each year for England, not nearly as many afforded to other countries. There is a "Diversity" program, that allows more flexibility to some countries.
There is a definite preference when it comes to govt. assistance, and it is not in the favor of whites. Not racist, just fact. I doubt it happens all over the country but it really does happen here in the South West.
To those of you who think that people can't get job ONLY because of the economy right now, you are WRONG! A siding company that my son worked for before the economic collapse went under because other companies came in and employed exclusively illegals. They are paid under the table about a hundred dollars a day cash. My son was making several hundred per job, but because of the illegals, they could bid the jobs lower and they'd win the contracts. That's the way it is in the construction industry. Everyone around here knows it.
And it's NOT THE JOBS AMERICANS WON"T DO. What jobs are there that Americans won't do???
Even now, several of the restaurants and drive thrus in the area employ mostly Spanish speaking Mexicans, maybe not illegals can't tell. I know that at my sons last job in the kitchen of a country club, it was common knowledge that the Mexicans in the kitchen were illegals. I bet they are still working there while my son is out of work.

bluesapphire
For him to do it legally it would take my husband to apply for citizenship (which would take several years)
Once I finally decided to become a citizen it took 4 WHOLE MONTHS!!!
And it only cost me $650 bucks.
Check your facts.
Besides, you don't have to be a citizen to sponsor a family member to come to the US.
God you are soooo wrong! We had one of the best immigration lawyers in NY checking the facts for us. We know what we are doing.

It really all comes down to personal experience.
If you are really wondering if there are invisible beings, entities, whatever, go seek them out. Yes it's scary, but it's worth it to find out for yourself.
