  as it was just memorial day, let's try to remember what our troops are fighting and dying for - oil.

  but not oil itself; they are fighting and dying for oil profits and that is not the same thing at all!.

  the first gulf war was clearly about oil, saddam invaded kuwait because he wanted their oil and we went to war and pushed him back.

  Due in part to manipulation.

  A great deal of manipulation it would appear.

  The devaluation of the US dollar that Robdar mentioned is also key.

  Life is Good, and bad but lately more good.

  well the last couple of weeks have been a tailspin of events.

  been in the desert where my old girlfreind is squatting a on her brothers $1.4 million mansion,, the ecconomy is way down there and many homes are deserted and reposseded.

  got to make losts of good connections in mexico,, met an old geologist(norwiegen) might do some mining with him in the future he's a crusty old 76 smokes lots of mj,,,met some good people there with some possible business connections,, it was nice to be befreinded by an english speaking national who stayed with my gf and eye even opened up his apartment for us to stay and giving us the grand tour and helping us save our money and meet interesting people.. life on the ranch or mansion was serene,, she's got a huge doberman pick of the liter from gracie, the doby i bought her for protection.

  Being told that the solution to any personal problem, no matter how complex in nature, was to increase your field service activity.

  How many killed themselves because seeking professional help for depression was discouraged?

  How many decent marriages never got a chance to flourish because issues weren't confronted?

  How many never got past the poverty line because career advancement was seen as both futile and greedy?

  How many kids got really damaged by being taught to idolize a barbarous monster like Jehovah?

  The first Gulf War was clearly about oil, Saddam invaded Kuwait because he wanted their oil and we went to war and pushed him back. Even though Saddam's troops lit Kuwait's oil fields on fire, and even though there was a tremendous disruption in global supply, oil prices only briefly went from $20 to $30 (inflation-adjusted dollars) before falling all the way back to $12 between 1990 and 1998. There has been no major supply disruption during the Bush II War. What is the difference? Manipulation!
