Welcome to the board Jibberish.
PS..........I let my "wordly husband" BURN all of my books JW one day in March. I knew most folks here on JWD would be so proud of me!! :)
Very very proud indeed!!
hello, i've been lurking for a few months now.
like many others here i've been through quite a bit lately, and what i've learned (thanks to jwd) is very eye opening to say the least.
will write my story when i have time.

Wacjobs in the beginning stages similar to the KKK and Al Qeada?
with the recent tv.
show ghost hunters 7 hours long shown live and on the internet with web cams planted all over the place from east pennslyvania pentitentiary on friday evening from 8pm to 3am, there were many responses from all over the country about people seeing images, ghosts etc.
for those who watched it, was this real or is it a great hoax.. i read that when it comes with dealing with hard evidence of life after death it's been shown that there are three classes of people.. there are those that ridicule idea of anything beyond the grave.. then there are those who have already accepted the evidence of continued existence beyond physical death.. the third group is often thrown offtrack when trying to get at the truth by the folks in the metaphysical camp.. which group do you belong to and why?
For me, seeing is believing. I'm not sure which group I could actually fit in. There is something strange about my granddaughter I intend to investigate.
Not to long ago my son told me she talks to someone she describes as a big man. Yet she is alone in a room. I just got off the phone with my ex-wife who just moved into a new apartment and she babysat this child for the first time in this apartment a few days ago. All of a sudden, my granddaughter said, "Grammy who is that little black boy?" My ex questioned her about it and learned she saw a little black boy go down the stairs into the cellar. Two new questions arise. How did a door obstructed by several boxs open, and how did this three year old child know it was a cellar door?
Last summer I took a picture of my granddaughter while my present wife was holding her. I had disregarded what happens in the picture because it is a digital camera and it was new to me at the time. It was a still shot, but my granddaughter starts out looking at my wife and then turns to face the camera. Her head is the only object that moves in the frame and there is clearly a ball being passed in the background that doesn't move in the still shot. I had been amused by this and always refered to my granddaughter as Linda Blair until now. Now I wonder what this phenomena might be.
ok, so there`s a tv ad doing the rounds in the uk about yoghurt and its strapline is "do you lick the lid of life?
" so it gets me thinking.
to my knowledge, and i could be wrong here, but as far as i know, yoghurt in cartons is the only food in which our instant reaction is to lick the lid...i can`t think of any more ...can you?.
I do a lot of cooking. My favorite lid is from the can of tomato paste. You have to be very careful not to cut your tonge, even with the new pull tab cans. Seriously!
how many newbies join this forum per month on avarage?
it seems to me that everyday there are new people posting.
i'm interested to know if there has been an increase.
I have noticed an increase of new posters. At first I thought about school closings and then I noticed the age of the new posters and figured school can't have anything to do with it. I have also noticed some here before are missing. Things happen that way I guess.
Welcome to Gravy and all the new posters.

a sock hop is a dance for those not familiar with the .
I think what your asking is if someone would fall in love on physical attraction alone. I don't, beauty is only skin deep.
If the confession came before I fell in love, I couldn't. After, I am out of there because of a lie.
i wrote a fictional book that incorperates a lot of how i believe, in a fantasy and some what sci fi story line.
it is only about 140 pages long and i really enjoyed writing it.
my spouse thinks it is fun and original, but i did not write it to get published.
just might have opened a mental flood gate of creativity.
My own floodgate opened up and it seems to be brief, about six months and now I'm struggling to finish the book I started two months after it opened up. About 100 pages now and I'm only halfway there. Spending too much time on the JWD hasn't helped, haha.
Publishers go to literary agents with requests for specific material. IE; if you write a Chinese cookbook and they request Japanese, a literary agent probably wont accept your book.
I read a book called "Writing for the soul", where the author, Jerry Jenkins, claims he wrote 125 book's, yes 125, before he finally had a book published. I had to ask myself, "Is this guy a bad writer or is the publishing industry that hard to get into?" My recent college teacher is a self published author because it is that hard to get into. If you really really want it published, if it's the only book you may write and you can make the investment, self published may be the way to go.
Another thing I will mention, How do you sell a self published book? Literally from the trunk of your car.
She asked me why I left.
I'm sorry you have been made sad by making an important life long decision. It's yours to make. Both you and your friend are sad right now. Remember, you will both get over it.
This won't be the last time someone will ask why you left. Over the last 30 plus years I have been asked at least 50 times. My response was, "It just wasn't for me." I'm let off easy when they say that someday you might change your mind and they walk away. I've read a lot of posters here have used the watchtower is a lie reason and the response to that is "Apostate". That would irritate me. You can't change a bible junkies beliefs, they need to do it on thier own. JWs are specially trained in defending against the seeds of doubt and how to respond to objections, making them blind and close minded to the real truth.
happy birthday decki !!
