since the meaning of life has change for most of us here, i thought it would be interesting to hear your answer to this question now.. for me, the meaning is to be close to family and friends, enjoy life as much as possible and follow my heart while being as good person i can be.. your turn.

my daughter told me that she refused the swine flu vaccine, even though she is in a risk category and could receive it.. since we know that the watchtower society banned small pox vaccinations for years when it first became available, i am curious to know if the watchtower society is doing this again, with the swine flu vaccine.. has anyone heard of this happening now?

We were discussing swine flu and vaccinations yesterday. So far only a rare request to stay home if you have the flu. Listen in to the meetings by telephone if that option is available at your KH. lol
from many of your posts ive noticed some of you, who never were df or da are practicaly shunned by your family memebers or congregation memebers.
does that really mean they wouldnt talk to you or greet you, if they meet you on the street or if you call them?.
i live in eastern europe and i never in my life heard about such attitude.
Everywhere I lived since I left the JWs, they come to my door once and I tell them I left. Never have another visit again. Talk about marking.

i have been to memphis, tn for breakfast on the way to tulsa, ok from georgia more than few years ago, someone would like for me to move to memphis, but i did not find memphis very appealing at all.
is there anything good about memphis?

i am very new to this board and have already have ready a post mentioning copyright laws in japan.
and have seen the full text of a non-watchtower book be made free to users here.. now i don't mind watchtower magazines being made free here because jws give away their literature all the time anyways.
but when i see a book being offered that must be purchased normally on amazon or waldenbooks i get a little mad.. say someone who visits this board works at a book seller or printer/publisher.
