  But the fact remains, the same, you don't see an Eastern Rattlesnake humping a Timber Rattler here in Georgia... they share the same range

  Think of this though Ships, Salamander A lives next to the cave opening, but never goes in... he never mates with the Blind Salamander. So, that's speciation...they can't/won't mate. Does it really matter why they are different species? In my mind it doesn't, they are different species just the same.
  
  Another example... there are 9 species of Rattlesnake... some species share the same environment, they don't mate... why?
  
  But, did they swim off the Ark... go 2500 miles and settle only in North America? Did they come from the garden of Eden and not leave any offspring along the way to settle only in North America...? Not likely.

  I really don't know snakes...
  
  I can say that in the case of some species, they are classified "different species" because they have drifted so much genetically, pheromones or seasons for mating have changed to the extent they can't mate...
  
  Or, how they mate, where the penis enters, or the like.
  
  Sometimes the species have changed so much they are violent towards one another... wolves and dogs come to mind.
  
  I really don't have an answer to your quesiton though, I guess you'd have to put them together and see if they get it on.
  
  Take a look at that Texas species, it looks very different than any other species. But you have a good question, one I can't answer with my limited knowledge.

  Species defined is this... "the major subdivision of a genus or subgenus, regarded as the basic category of biological classification, composed of related individuals that resemble one another, are able to breed among themselves, but are not able to breed with members of another species.
  
  My Biology book from college says they "can't or won't produce offspring"...
  
  To whomever said this isn't a "new species"... yes it is... in that they do not mate with other salamanders.
  
  I could go into genetic drift here, but I think this makes the point well enough.

  Someone else mentioned this, but it really takes the cake... that you can't lick your wife's genitalia, and she can't yours. WTF?
  
  As if God sits in heaven, mad as hell because you've done some licking on your mate..
  
  I can see the conversation in heaven now, God: "Damn it Jesus, there goes Chuck licking on his lady again".... Jesus: "He's really got a problem with that one doesn't he Jehovah?"
  
  God: "Yea Jesus, I'm going to have to smite him with jock itch if he keeps on doing that crap".
  
  Thus the reason for my raging case of Jock Itch this summer...LOL!

  so yes, the brothers came for "encouragement" and of course, my husband is out of town on business... so it was me and the kids.. so i did let them in, i like these brothers...these are some things we discussed.... 1. i went over how that stupid "obey" email got all this started, got me to divulge to my girlfriend how i was feeling about the whole religion.

  about how at the end of the call she said that she can't associate with me anymore, and then right after that call/ 30seconds later while i'm crying a pioneer called and asked "do you consider yourself one of jeh witnesses anymore??

  " and i thought that was crazy for someone to try to trap me when i was sitting crying on the phone, upset with the last call... i told them that for all purposes i am already dfed since noone will talk to me anymore, and only one friend called to see what happened, everyone else just listened to the gossip of whatever spread, and wrote me off even though i'm technically in good standing.

  I really envy you, not for standing up to a group of idiots, but for having someone who loves you going through this with you...we that have no one get really lonely sometimes. I didn't even have the internet.
