Is It Me Or Are The Males of Today More Feminine and/or Nerdy Than Ever B4?
by minimus inwhen i turn on the tv, i see so many fem men that i'm realizing that a 'manly" man seems to be a relic of the past.. metrosexuals rule the world now.supersensitive males who are in touch with their feminine side are the norm.. the john waynes & burt reynolds have been replaced with ryan seacrest lookalikes.. ladies, do you find these metrosexuals all that attractive?

A "real man" is someone with testicles and a penis... period!
And no man should ever worry they don't fit into someone's idea of manhood... listen guys, never worry whether either Sweetstuff, not FHN, nor any lady thinks they're hot (sorry ladies but there's a point to this)...Don't give even one thought if someone don't think you're manly male nor female... like the old song says "Somewhere there's a someone for everyone"...and like the old saying about opinions
All you need to know, is who you are. YOU ARE! Not what someone thinks you should be.
I've seen the most effeminate men, hell even gay men for that matter buck up and kick some a$$... they sure looked like "real men" while doing it... I've seen men stand up to rooms full of people and not back down, and they were mild and meek normally.
A real man is a man that knows who HE freaking is, and lives by it... that's a damn man, that and testicles and a penis. -

by burningbridges inseen some real "different" threads here lately, out of body experiences, near death experiences, ext.

"And FD knows this for a fact, so shut up!"
Look folks, people like FD and myself are skeptics... there has never been a confirmed case of persons who can predict the future on a completely accurate basis, so with that knowledge, what else can be said other than they're bull$h*ters?
There have been persons who've guessed things correctly at times, but no better odds than most regular humans have to do so. If I were to flip a coin, my chances are 50/50 that it's end up heads one time and tails the other... but there are times I may flip a coin and it is tails 10 times in a row. Continue this practice and it'll almost always end up abut 50/50...
The relevance of flipping coins is this... we as humans have the ability to use current information and predict things by using available data. A good thread to prove this point is the one that asks the poster to predict the Presidential running mates. Someone will probably predict the correct outcome... are they psychics or did they collect data and make a prediction basing it on the most probable outcomes?
Show me a confirmed scientific analysis that proves some humans are psychic, and I'll change my opinion. And please don't bore me with fools like Edward Casey, Nostradamus and the like...
So Burns, just like almost everything I've heard you discuss, do you have any facts that repudiate FD? I doubt it, so why the smart Alec remark? -

"My parents, my husband's parents, all of their siblings, all of their children are all serving Jehovah, and most, the majority of them in the full-time ministry".
"Serving Jehovah" my backside.... serving an organization of men... notice how the two intertwine in JW land. -

Packers hire Ari Fleischer
by keyser soze inthe green bay packers have suffered a little negative pr in light of their offseason dealings with brett favre.
what was their solution?
they hired as a consultant, former bush press secretary ari fleischer, who is perhaps best know for his alleged role in the cia leak involving valerie plame:.

Yea, hire a traitor to your country to do PR... I'm a Pack fan, but this sucks.
Ari had a responsibility to his government over his party, if he let these things go knowing the truth, then he's a traitor and nothing more. -

"Do any of you remember the second Super Bowl between Dallas and Buffalo...SB XXVIII"
Not if that was in Atlanta, that's because my friend worked for Budweiser at the time, and we had free beer all weekend at each and every party Bud threw. -

I've held friends and family members hands while they died... I've seen a person killed before my face.. violently killed... the deaths of those dieing of "natural causes" are usually peaceful, while the dude that died violently... not so peaceful
The look of "oh crap, I think I might be dead" is really hard to erase. Not something I ever want to see again... it's just that this person was alive one minute, very alive, and then to watch something very violent happen to them, and the look of "crap" on his face-very disturbing.
I think a person should be allowed by the "great spirit" (just kidding) to have a chance to make peace with friends and family before passing..violent deaths make a mark in time of those that witness it and those that pass...
But don't kid yourself Zero, everyone that posted on this thread has an interest in death, that's why they opened it up... it is a fascinating event and as Shakespeare said... one in "which no traveler returns". No one that lives isn't somewhat interested in a mystery such as this. -

Well, I love the college game, so Saturdays in the afternoon, I was always out in field service until around 12:30PM... games started then...
Sunday, all our meetings started at 10:00PM...I was out by 12:00PM... went straight to someones house or a bar and watched the game...
I don't know why, it's been 18 years since I went to a meeting... but our assemblies were always in the Summer... if they were in the fall, I can't recall them... I'm pretty certain we didn't have fall assemblies, nor winter... but it was 18 years ago, not as many JWs then as now...
