I Feel so alone
by aussie inhi everyone, well im totally new at this but i thought i would give it a go anyway.so here is my story(short version).
well i have been with my boyfriend for 2yrs now and the last 4months he has started to get back into witnessing.
i have said from day one that i dont want to be one, but i did attend a meeting, memorial and some studys i did this for him to see what it was all about.

Hi aussie, Nothing hurts worse than losing the ones you love... I know somewhat how you feel. I have been without the love of my life for 5 years now and it's not an expierence that you want to endure. As hard as this is know that what I'm saying is true... get away from this man, do it before others in your family get hurt even worse than you are hurting now-I'm talking kids you may have, and other family relations in marriages. My famiy isn't even speaking to me and what did I do? Told them the truth about the WT idiots. Get away before it's too late' look at his actions now and see how stupidly he's behaving? It's hard to reason with someone that refuses to read the facts isn't it? Be afraid, be very afraid of the mind control of this cult. Get away while you still have a heart left to break; mine's been ripped out so much I don't know if I have one left.

After reading many topics.. I'm confused. Is this a JW forum or an ANTI-JW?
by MichaelM ini'm studying with a jehovah's witness and it makes quite a bit of sense but i've been reading many topics on here and it seems that i can find every christian denomination and every religion except jehovahs witnesses.
do any jw's actually browse here?
maybe i'm just getting unlucky and picking the wrong topics where everyones discussing about how they used to be jw's.

Try the web site 6 screens of the WT if you want a true rundown of the JW faith. I was one for 28 years, and they have a lot to hide my brother... keep your mind open and study everything includintg the Witneses. The truth will come out if you follow this method; do it before you committ to anything.

OICU, why don't you love america enough to research your posts before you comment? I'll give you a short list so you can call these fine brave men that have defended the US in several wars unpatriotic... first on the list CENTCOM commander, decorated Marine Antony Zinni-the higest ranking military officer until he retired. Major General Paul Eaton, in charge of Middle East opperations. Lt. General Bernard Trainor, Major General John Baptiste. Not to mention, a poll taken in September showed that the troops by an overwhelming majority, 65% want to leave Iraq within a year... that was in September! Are they (the troops that want out) unpatriotic also or do they realize what a waste this war was from the start? Why don't you love the US enough to read a book every once in a while instead of lazily listening to Rush Limbaugh? It's not just the left that lost this war, it was this stupid moronic president and his adminsitraiton that both lied us into this war and was too incompentent to carry out a plan. And you blame others? WHat are you smoking, I'm serious, I really want to know becasue you're simply not in your right mind.

Carla, That's not the point whether you agree with us or not... I think the better question is what is it about this war that you think is right; where do you disagree with us? If there's nothng to be gained by our committment there then why are you for it? I'm not being facitious I really simply want to know? Also, what about the outright lies told our country that got us there? Have you not seen the reports coming out of DC lately that proves Bush and his administraiton was lying? Does that not matter to you?

Warlock, who didn't know that? I thought we were talking about how wrong this war was? I don't belong to either party becasue Machavelli was right about power. I think all views have merit. Yet, those of us against this war knew better and were called unpatriotic becasue we didn't support it... now that it's obvious the war was a mistake, how does it matter which party ends it? Somehow we need to get out of this mess.

I find your response hard to fathom OICU... nothing will be gained by this war, yet those of us aginst it hate america... How about all those retired generals that spenat all their lives in service to this country and are now saying what a mistake this war is? I honestly think, now that we know what a mistake this war is, that you that defend it are the ones that hate america.

Ghost of father-in-law?
by sinis inmy wife who is a "lukewarm" jdub, told me yesterday that the pentecostals across the street from her mothers house, told her mother on thursday that they saw her father walk up to the side gate (looked like he couldn't get in), and then walked up to the front door, and then vanish.
the only thing is that my wifes father passed about a year and a half ago.
of course her jdub mother wouldn't listen to it, and my wife sort of made a light comment, probably to hear what i had to say.

OK, First off, I'm agnostic/hindu/buddhist... I believe we come from the same energy that all/everything comes from... I believe in Brahman which is all the energy combined; it includes you, me, rocks-everything! Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; matter can neither be created nor destroyed. THat's becasue it's eternal, it has always existed and always will... sounds familiar right? God/Brahman right, you me and dogshit right? All molecular structures! That's because the energy that is in us is us, has always existed in some form... "as many grains of sand as there is in the river Ganges, that is how many lives we will live" Famous Buddhist saying. Life changes form as molecules change form; what we are now molecularly speaking will never be the same two minutes from now-yet, that energy that composed us at that moment will always exist. Could that energy leave a trace that has power? Damn right it can; just as radiation takes hundreds of years to change to some other form of energy, the soul, much more complicated than radiation, may take many years to go back the the eternal energy which it is a part of and from which it came. I will never take a hard stand on this issue but I would say why not? We're only scratching the surface, our evolution will make us complete one day and the mission of the eternal, Brahman/we will be complete. Human perfection, a new world; where all reconises the eternal in all of us and respects one another for the mission we're sent to accomplish. I was a scientist at one point and a Hindu turned me on to this; very scientific. Sorry, but you did ask the question.
