I never shut up.
Lol!!
if the un banned religious criticism?.
how do you think it would affect people like us?.
(ps>>>the proposal passed).
I never shut up.
Lol!!
i hear this and read this a lot, "i don't believe in evolution" or " this person does not believe in evolution".
when we say this we a perpetuating the myth that evolution is a belief, when in reality it is a fact.
we should say " this person does not accept evolution as a fact".
I hear this and read this a lot, "i don't believe in evolution" or " this person does not believe in evolution". When we say this we a perpetuating the myth that evolution is a belief, when in reality it is a fact. We should say " this person does not accept evolution as a fact". Like in medieval times when a lot of people in Europe did not accept the fact that the earth was round. Most of them did not even understand the science behind it ( most did not know how to read or write). This fact, after it was discovered, took a while before it became accepted by most because it challenge the authority of the church. today evolution is seen by a lot of people as a belief, when in reality it is a fact. So to help people understand this we can start by changing our ( those of us who accept the laws of evolution) way of saying things, instead of saying believe in evolution we should say we accept that evolution is a fact. What do you think?
i read this comment in the sacramento news and wondered how many would support a 'tent' city for the homeless in their town?
i personally don't know how it works other than that i imagine it cloisters those homeless who wish to take of advantage of it into one large area, and provide them with toilets and tents and perhaps some form of help in the way of volunteers offering food or medical assistance.
once legal and set up, what would happen?
That's scary stuff cameo-d, what append in Ontario is just sickening. I'm not sure if I can trust all of what is on infowars but if it's all true then there is something very wrong going on.
natural selection explains why we are who we are today.
religion is not immune to the law of natural selection.
when we look at the catholic religion today and compare it to what it was in the medieval period we can see the evolution it went through and we can speculate how it will look in the future.

When we look at the Catholic religion today and compare it to what it was in the medieval period we can see the evolution it went through and we can speculate how it will look in the future. All religions are like this, they will adapt to their new surroundings or they will go extinct. Islam also will go through this change, in some countries it is still at it's more primitive state but in countries were freedom is more advance we see a different kind of Islam.
The Jehovah's witnesses are going through such a change, they can not keep up with the information that is out there, they must adapt or they will go extinct. The leaders already made a lot of changes and they will continue in the future. They are already on the endangered list. These kinds of religions thrive in environments that do not have as much easy access to information.

i would appreciate a translation.
with thanks to so past a dub from jwr for finding it.. .
The French WT (at least) has already taken steps to conform (superficially) to the European legal framework. As I have mentioned a few years ago, they have changed their "judicial" terminology: Judicial committees are now "comités de discipline religieuse" (religious discipline committees), people are no longer exclus ("disfellowshipped") but excommunicated. Protection under the shield of Babylon the Great as it were...
Another thing is that the d'fng reports (S-77 etc.) have been suppressed as well as all (visible) judicial files, locally and at the branch (because of laws on confidential personal data).
I did not know this, I don't think this has been done in Quebec yet ( our WT are in french ).

The Watchtower has to be careful about screaming persecution because the issue raises too many questions and could highlight that they have suffered defeat!
This, taken together with the situation in Russia, and the continued preaching against college offers a wonderful opportunity to put this sick cult in its place. Let them back away from wrecking families and ruining lives and keeping children ignorant.
Let them suffer financial loss and public humiliation.
metatron
Ha! How ironic... they'll actually claim to be "persecuted" and that they have a legal "right" to persecute others whom they decide to kick out of their congregations.
Pot, meet Kettle.
LOL, but I think pot met kettle a long time ago with the pedophile cover up issue.
You are all absolutely right.
from what i've read on here, i understand many of you have a certain amount of anger over the way the society controlled every aspect of your lives.
thats understandable.
i still have a bit, even though my fade is complete.. that being said, i think everyone on here has a goal to help those that are still trapped inside the mind controlling cult.
I think if someone is really looking for answers that person is going to look over these words. Take my user name for example, I am sure that when I start a topic and an active JW appends to see it and notices the name they would probably not bother to look but someone with a stronger curiosity might actually be intrigued by the name and would want to know what I have to say.

The only thing I am afraid of is that if this does turn into something big the JW will scream persecution.

I tried to translate but I speak Quebecois not french I notice that it is a little more difficult for me to understand European french and I know a lot of Europeans who speak french have a hard time understanding their French-Canadian cousins.
