Hi Perry, what is sin? Do not bother using the bible to explain, I do not believe in the bible.

Did God ever Exist?
by found-my-way inreading so many posts on atheism which is the belief that there is no god, and reading comments from creationists made me ponder if there was an alternate reason for our existence.. if god is up there, why does he permit suffering?
if i were god, i wouldn't of let it happen in the first place, these are my children, why would i let them suffer?
maybe i am influenced by my creationist upbringing and beliefs while a jw, because i find it hard to wrap my brain around the idea that everything came from nothing.

Like it or don't like it Antichrist, there it is. All you need to do is READ IT this time.
I did read it but was not satisfied by your answer, you use the bible and I don't believe the bible to be the word of god. I not sure about the exitence of god. Just one more point, their is no "absolut" proof that the univers had a begining.

How'd you pick your Avatar and/or Username? (Share a little bio?)
by Open mind ineven though you might think it's painfully obvious, explain why you chose your avatar and/or username.
it could help us faceless "netizens" get to know each other a little better.
open mind.

Well, my alias was inspired by 3 things. First:For a JW everything out of the borg is apostat or againts Jesus.Second: Now that I have long hair and I used to have a big beard people would say that I looked like Jesus ( even if they don't now what he looked like) or that I look like a cult leader and third: I like the way that word makes people react.

Altering reality where do you stand......
by fifi40 into fill you in and explain my post....... i was raised as a jw but left (not baptised) at 16. i started studying again at 24ish and was quickly baptised and got disfellowshipped aged about 32ish.
whilst i was active as a jw i socialised plenty, but it did not involve copious amounts of drink or drugs.
during my times out i have very very occasionally smoked a little dope and have been drunk more often but by no means frequently.

fifi40 well I don't really remember every thing but he told me to look out the window and I did, god was on the tv which is pretty weird to begin with, so I look through the window and saw the "Dawn of the dead" end of the world.. not very fun I don't recommend it. Funny thing is that experience started to make me doubt the existence of god.

Why a paradise earth is so appealing to JWs?
by Lady Lee inwhy a paradise earth is so appealing to jws?.
well no one can say they look around at the problems today and can say they like everything they see.
so a nice clean paradise world would be pretty great.

So, to summarize, you will be resurrected in the body God gives you, the one He decides is perfect for you. It will likely be a different race since all will be of one race. You will speak and think in ancient Hebrew, living in your assigned house at an assigned location. You'll report to the princes of the earth for your assigned job. You will be a submissive, perfect workman. Then these princes will require you to attend education seminars where you'll learn what instructions have been transmitted from heaven and written in the sacred scrolls. You'll then be required to teach and preach this message to others (when you're not working), who are all your bothers and sisters. Whatever close relationships you had before you died will be just distant memories. If you're lucky you may get to procreate and occasionally experience a perfect orgasm in a perfect body; but this is a limited-time offer and is available only to those who are pre-approved.
You will live this way for eternity, with no hope of ever leaving planet Paradise. Enjoy! That's my definition of hell!!!!

Could it be that some scientists are pushing global warming to bring in fresh new government grants? Just a thought.
It's a posibility that crossed my mind. I'm always suspicious of things that become very popular. But I still believe we should try our best to cut on pollution. I think we sould use what we know now to become self sufficient, not only for the environment but just to be free of the "Man". I feel too dependent on the system.

I think people who consume a lot of mind altering substances are trying to escape something. I have experience with drugs( canabis, psychotorpic musrooms and extacy) My last experience with drugs was not to good. About 4 years ago I got really sick and I was not sleeping for a while so I made a pot mufin to help me sleep, not a good idea. I had a fever and was dehydrated. It was a bad mix. I woke up in the hospital. I only remeber thinking it was the end of the world and god was talking to me. So I went outside screaming and runing. It was December and it was -25c. I was bare foot. So yes people on drugs can do crazy things and it normal that you don't feel relaxed around exessive people. I don't do drugs any more.
