Do you get "tired" of "Apostates/ex-jws" bashing the WT to you?
by booker-t ini know it is good to let out pent up anger for healing purposes, but do you ever get tired of some "apostates or ex-jws" constantly bashing the wt?
for instance when you or having lunch and all they do is say "the evil wt this the evil wt that" during the whole time you are at lunch?
sometimes i just don't feel like hearing it especially when i am at an event for fun.

Family Guy
by Anti-Christ ini just watched family guy, man that show is funny, they had a part where chris was talking about the evil monkey in the closet and he said it wasn't as evil since it became a jw, then they showed the monkey coming out of the closet, instead of pointing he showed a wt and it was wearing a suit.
man i laughed so hard.
just wanted to share that with some of you who are familiar with the show.

As "Believers" in the bible do you feel "foolish" at the things you swallow
by booker-t ini was listening to a radio program the other day and i must admit after the dj finished i felt so foolish to be a believer in the bible.
he was asking listeners if someone were to come up to them now and say that their donkey talked to them or their snake said a sentence to them or that their neighbor turned into a pile of salt would they want that person committed as "crazy" or want to know what "drugs" they were on.
but as believers in the bible we swallow anything it says without proof and rely solely on faith.

by frankiespeakin inlets see they slaughtered the indians that live on this land, wiped out the buffalo which starved many to death, put them on reservations, reduced many of them to poverty.. and now the us government has the biggest military in the world that cost its tax payers plenty and no government health care.
kind of makes you wonder if freedom is just a 4 letter word with dom added on.. not only that but they have spent trillions$$ on weapons of mass destruction, they have the biggest stock pile of nuclear weapons that can kill all life on earth several times over.
and if i refuse to pay my taxes because i don't like the government is wasting so much money on the military, i will get thrown in prision, and if they want to they can use the patriot act to torture me, refuse me a fair trial.

I'm sure Fidel Castro needs smart, able-bodied people to trim his nose hairs and wipe his ass.
I do not want to sound disrespectful but do you know a lot about Cuba? There are a lot of things in Cuba that are much better then the U.S. This might surprise you but If I had to choose between U.S. and Cuba I would choose Cuba. You get free medical care, free higher education, you are aloud to criticize the government. I don't agree with every thing but there is a lot of good things about Cuba.

.....just whining and doing nothing is another.
Whining is a start. I think it does accomplish somethings, it brings a different perspective on things. It might not be has effective as other forms of protest but I think it still is "doing" something.
trust me, i would work actively for change if it wouldn't land me in jail. the next thing i know, several big apes, dressed in blue, with guns on their hips and collapsible batons in hand are at my front door ready to file me away with murderers and rapists because i no longer believe in their religion of Having. i mean, i could go through the "officially" set up routes for making change if it weren't a TOTAL JOKE.
! That's the thing we are forced into this way of living and they dare call it freedom. O.K. maybe we are a little more "free" than a few years back but basically we are still under ruling and you can't vote for no government or for a system that works with out money. We accept the world they way it is because we are condition to accept it. People who are in power control the schools and every thing else that has to do with education to the masses. For now I accept certain things the way they are because I know that a lot of people could not live with out somebody telling theme how to think and that's why I started to vote. If for now I have no choice but to be ruled and be a slave I might as well choose my master.

O.K. I get what your saying. I not absolutely sure how it works in the U.S.A. but here we have a lot more then just two people or parties we can vote for. I voted for the green party. I thought they had very radical and different ideas.

If you actually voted, then you would realize how utterly ridiculous being proud of not voting is.
One lousy stinking vote means more than a gazzilion opinions in cyberspace.
Not voting is part of being in a "free" country, you have the right to vote, the right not to vote and the right to voice your opinion on cyberspace.
I voted for the first time this year, it did feel good but I understand that somebody could be proud of not voting. Having the right to choose a government does not mean you are "free". If a slave gets to choose is master does that make him free?
