  I saw a sad sight yesterday.

  i was strolling up our high street, trying to avoid the sally army chuggers, when coming towards me was an elderly lady, she suddenly approached a young lady and offered her a tract, the girl refused.. the old dear was weirdly dressed in very old-fashioned clothes that still screamed "pioneer",they can't have been exactly fashinable when they were new, she must have been in her seventies, but was weird looking, not helped by bright orange hair and very red lipstick, i checked, and she was holding the tract "you can trust the bible" (oh yea??).

  i have not seen anyone doing street work for ages in our town, even she was not that dedicated, she dodged in to a charity shop and had a look at what was on offer,still counting her time i guess.. i thought of engagng her in conversation, but then i thought no, better to leave her in the cult, she will do more harm reinforcing the impression that jw's are a bunch of weirdos by her desultory street work than she would if she woke up and left the dubs.. years ago we used to get a bunch of young people together and we would all go in street work, and to the markets etc.

  we used to make it fun, as much as we could.. now all they have as the public face of the jw's is a sad, weird old lady.. i think we shall see this more and more, the glory days are gone for the wt.. good..

  Just about a similar story to yours, only change the location to New York City, four or five sisters trying to get their time in during their lunch hour at one of the most busiest subway stations, Rockefeller Center, however, although they were inside near the turnstiles, do you think they positioned themselves at the most busiest entrance to the station . . . ? Of course not, they planted their lazy asses near an entrance that is busy during rush hour, but is so dead for the rest of the day (including lunch time) that they close off the turnstiles with a gate! I'm sure they are in a very joyous mood when they get to count all that time they're able to get in during the week while they gossip about all the others in their congregations.

  You mean the elders at your KH in the 80's didn't mention that our dear Sister's shouldn't be wearing red dresses, or was it shoes . . . anyway, yeah, I think the bro had the audacity to say that we shouldn't wear red shoes, so I guess the red dress will do ! ! !

  well, not really his first, he turned 17 yesterday.

  it is his first that we have celebrated!

  his mom got him a cake with candles and sang happy birthday to him.

  So how long have you realized that the Dubs are silly? I myself and the others on here have a few stronger words form them however, which I'm sure you're quite aware of at this time.

  I think you're just trying to reach some astronimical number for being the person with the most postings here and that's all your mind could come up with at the time you posted since you surely couldn't think we all don't know that already.

  kinda figured his dad wasn't active in da troof, because he always said on the radio his dad always regreted breaking up with his mom. Plus the fact that the guy has a full beard. Charlamagne definitely isn't in a witness, so knowing that his dad isn't either, wonder why he would claim his dad is one. . . whatever
