I live in a co-op building and their not allowed in, however, there's a few that live here, when I first moved in a friend of my mother's who knew them promptly found out my apt # and send them to my door to proselytize, wasn't kind to them at all, whole thing lasted less than 10 seconds, however, we do talk on the elevator or on the street, just not about THAT.

The Honeymoon Stage...well kind of
by mrsjones5 ini'm keeping my distance from my parents but i keep running into my mother around town.
yesterday it was at walmart, a couple of weeks ago it was at the mall.
both times my husband was not acknowledged (basically shunned), hubby says its a weird feeling but he's ok with not having to talk to my mother.. i call my mother every couple of weeks or so and the last time i spoke to her (about two days before walmart) she said that she wished we could go shopping or go to lunch together.

Manipulative mothers never change..
They just try new tactics to get you to accept their behaviour
That was my mother word for word, no matter how many arguments/conversations the two of you may have it will never end . . . . . trust me on that, (as if you don't already know)

Since the Dubs aren't on "the same page" in different parts of the world, I know someone who went to the KHall in Baltimore in the 70's and 80's and during a wedding reception the Dubs didn't believe in playing records at the reception, what scripture did they get that frorm?
So generally speaking, the answer is, all of their beliefs are just plain out wierd.

Anyone remember the big 'THRILL' of seeing other cars on the highway that displayed YHWH or had a 'Watchtower' taped to the rear window?
At the border, she wasn't permitted entry into the USA as she didn't bring along the required documents so we left her there and carried-on to the convention
Doesn't that just prove it's mind draining cult, getting totally orgasmic over seeing license plates with YHWH ? I have to laugh about leaving the Sis at the border, I wonder if some other Dubs drove by and heard her sob story and took her to the assembly, and of course, at another assembly she told of that experience and she prayed to Jah and of course another family just shows up ! !

I was there at Yankee Stadium in 1969 too JRK, remember the first day it was pouring rain all day, my mother bought her study with her and the line for food at the assembly cafeteria was so long we went to a restaurant nearby the Stadium and we had to wait on a long line there too !

The so called "traditional" assembly usually started on a Thursday and ending on Sunday, but the International assemblies were a week long. At least that's the way it was in the 60's and 70's. Have'nt been to one since early 80's BTW.

Did you have those drinks at Top of The Mark, atop the Mark Hopkins Hotel? Very scenic view of the city from the lounge on the top floor.

After all, witnesses like my wife, take pride in the fact that the witnesses all over the world are being taught the same thing on a particular Sunday
Gary
My mother used to say the same thing in her cult induced spiel to get people interested in attending the special talks. . . .uugggghhhh.

So all you ravenous hyennas out there DONT GIVE ANY MONEY!!!
I am starting to remember why I left this forum. Some of you are like rabid dogs that just tear down all the time. It's really disgusting.
From your own words above, yeah, that's the way to get people here on "the forum" to donate to the cause.
