Our cong had a young brother kill himself and the funeral couldn't be held at the Hall, this was in the 80's. I thought it was a hard rule for the Dubs that if one commits suicide you can't have funeral at the Hall, now that I think about it, they don't have any "hard rules", just flip flopping back and forth.
So I guess now the funeral can be held at the Hall

by ShirleyW injust got a google alert regarding the bossert that was printed in the new york times, hope somebody hear knows how to do the cut and paste for that.. was it a well known fact that the bossert is free for all jdubs visiting the nyc area or does the article have it wrong, i've always been aware of the bossert but thought it was part of the residential buildings for the bethelites.. .

Hey Talesin - The Chi-Lites are not under the "Motown umbrella" so to speak, they're music was popular in the 70's, same time as other Motwown groups, but they weren't signed with Berry Gordy . . and that's my bit of trivia for the day . . !
I think they were part of the "Philly Sound" if I'm not mistaken, can't remember name of the label they recorded under.

Like Shelby, I got over my shoe addiction decades ago and I haven't worn high heels for quite sometime and wouldn't even dare to attempt to wear the platform heels I see that are the style now !
But being a man you'll never understand why women are addicted to shoes, like we'll never understand the "skidmark thing" but for some reason it doesn't seem to bother you guys, which is worse than a closet full of shoes.
