To the gullible jw who beleive (worship) the GB
by bobld inin this weeks wt study p20 para 17 the gb directive in part says "all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive,whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not".
it behooves me,how anyone would obey such an organization,when you were told to preach and exhort people with a message(bible doctrine) for over a hundred years(and not question the message or the gb) only to find out the message was false.see wt july 15,2013 p8.-great tribulation did not begin in 1914.judgement of the sheep and goats did not begin in 1914.jesus arrival to appoint the faithful slave did not occur in 1919.wt 1984,1914 the generation that will not pass away.. in your clean christian conscience are you willing to obey such a vacillating organization.the proper thing to do is resign from this organization.

Depression, Medication, and Other Grey Areas
by startingover13 inone thing that i have noticed in my dealings with a lot of women in the congregation are deep, intense feelings of insecurity and worthlessness.
i use the term "worthlessness" very loosely because it can apply to many different situations, in the congregation, in the home, personally, etc.
over the years, and especially over the past 6 years, i've met sisters from all walks of life.

Being a born in as a kid you really don't know the "back story" about folks in the Cong until you grow up, so like you mentioned that a certain sister looked upon sex a just a wifely duty, I guess you've found out by now she is by no means the only one. Antidepressants weren't as popular when I was growing up as they are now, so I could give you a list (as well as many other folks of my age) of several sisters and brothers that definitely needed something, I myself think they need some major psychiatric help, but now from here on the board, Xana, Zoloft, whatever else is out there is not unusual in the Borg.

I need help in dealing with a toxic family member!!!!
by hoser ini have a close family member who is a pro in using shame to try to make me feel bad.
they are coming to stay at my place soon and the issue of me and mrs hoser not attending/ doing field service will come up no doubt.. i need some advice on how to deal with this because whenever i deal with these relatives they make me feel worthless.
it is probably part because they are jw's and jw's motivate by fear and guilt.. .

If their so pompous like the usual JW go to their house and light a cigarette or while they're in the room watch a porn film, would they put up with that, why do you give them so much power under your own roof ???

Well, if they do approach you just ask them to quote the scripture that says only those who have large bank accounts, like celebrities, can stay within the organization when they do something unbecoming to the Lord.
