THe last time I was in a car close enough to see the clock was in April, but honestly didn't even turn my head in that direction, plus the fact it was daytime so I don't know, but someone floated that story around here a while ago I remember. Anyone here ride the B or D train across the manhattan bridge at night or drive across the Bklyn Bridge that would know if it's still on?

Is anyone else getting ready for Christmas?
by juni ini was in the mood today... got the tree cheap (came w/lights), decorations and ribbon for half price and made the bow myself to save money.
i was going to put it aside until after thanksgiving, but couldn't resist completing the project.
i just have to get some fiber fill for "snow" at the base.

Wow Juni, I'd say you're just a tad early this year !!
If that's a real tree, will it still look like that by Xmas, or will all the green needles start shedding?

Please dont be guilty of committing the sins you have indicted the WatchTower of
by mankkeli inplease dont be guilty of the sins you have indicted the wt of commiting.
something is common to all on this discussion board, we are quick at castigating the watchtower.
although, i understand your reasons for doing so, but i will warn you not to be guilt of the same offense the wt had committed.

Hey Charlie Brown
I'd rate him number 2 in the JWN nuts Dept. actually somebody who's name starts with the last letter in the alphabet take the Number 1 spot, and I have the private messages to prove it. (also have message/post from mankeli saying not to post on his messages anymore also)

My goodness, last night on NBC Nightly News they mentioned the Catholic Church and other sex scandals when they covered the Paterno story, what's wrong with that radio station?

I'm sorry, but I have to say this re Katy Perry (fluff thread, sort of)...
by rebel8 in[stealing aguest's title.
i don't think she has a good voice.
in fact i have a very bad singing voice and she sounds like me.

Hey Mamalove:
My comment above about Katie Perry also applies to Celine, don't get the talent or the marriage thing with her either (her old hubby first met her when she was just 11 years old, creepy!)

I'm sorry, but I have to say this re Kim Kardashian (fluff thread, sort of)...
by AGuest inbut i do so to be fair (may you all have peace!):.
if she were my daughter, and kris humphries said to her what he said to ms. kim, when she voiced her concerns (again) about not wanting to move to minnesota (which she did before getting married and he "pretended" to accept), i might tell her he's the wrong guy/man, too.
no, i don't believe in divorce "just because,"... and don't know that i would tell my daughter to divorce him (she made her bed, so to say), but.... what did he say?

I'm surprised no one has attached a clip of the take off of the wedding that was on SNL this past Saturday, I don't watch SNL but saw the clip and it is extemely funny, The View ran it on their show this morning.
BTW, just how the Hell did that family get to be famous and get there own show anyway, that's what I'd like to know !

There's a brother here in New York City that was a ministerial servant (1960's - 1970's) for all I know he maybe an elder now, he's now in Cong out in Amityville, Long Island, but in the 70's he was a well known DJ on a very popular station, WBLS, his name is Ken Spider Webb, he's now on SiriusXM, I always wondered when I was growing up how they always used to say "you can't serve two Gods" but how did they allow Kenny to mingle with all the celebs and such and still be the ministerial servant, btw, I'm sure he got a healthy paycheck, but he wasn't (or is) living large, but back in the 60's and 70's, even before George Benson was popular, this guy gets to hang out with all the musical celebrities, yet preach from the JW pulpit about the evils of the world. I don't believe he had enough money to "green handshake the Society" because he has five kids!
