Hey Usual - Currently on another thread the word privileges is now being spelled with an "a" and it's not a typo, they think they're correct . . . unreal

Cross your fingers
by KariOtt ini have to go to court tomorrow.
i got a speeding ticket.
its been about 20 years since i have had one.

Kari - Just want to make sure I'm following your post correctly
I was clocked going more than twice the posted limit. I should have been taken to jail the day I got it.
Is the above what happened 20 years ago or what happened just the other day. If you're referring to what happened the other day, you're really asking for prayers so you can keep driving?
However if the above happened 20 years ago, then forget it, too long ago to discuss

I"ve posted this here before about the spelling and grammar on this board, but the main two that always stand out in my mind since this is a board that deals with religion, is that many folks here cannot spelled baptize, it's usually spelled here baBtize, plus the ever popular masturbation, which is usually spelled here as mastErbation.

How men become homosexuals...

"I read an interview with Neil Sedaka and learned he is not gay, despite being effeminate. He explains his mannerisms as a result of being raised with sisters. He’s been faithfully married to the same woman for a long time."
I'll preface this by saying it doesn't matter, nor does Neil Sedaka really owe an explanation about his sexuality to anyone, but his explanation kinda sounds like what one would expect to hear from someone who gives off the idea that they're effeminate. Reminds me of the articles I've read with Queen Latifah who says she'd like to have kids and the white picket fence home and life, but when directly asked, she's never said yes or no. Kind of like Ellen and Ricky Martin, everyone knew but then they come out with the headline on a news magazine that they are gay, like everyone would be so shocked.

More WT Propaganda: Low Paying Jobs are OK for Family Heads. Just "Don't Miss the Meetings!"
by Oubliette ingod, evidently, wants you to be poor: .
a newly baptized brother is married, and he and his wife have three small children.
one day, a workmate suggested that he and the brother move to another company that paid a higher wage and provided more benefits.

Planning the xmas party-suggestions needed
by TweetieBird ini am in charge of planning the resident xmas party (300 apartments that i manage) and about 100 to 150 residents will be there.. i already have a musician lined up but need ideas for food, theme, etc.
$400 budget for food, etc.
any ideas?

So, If 150 show up, that means you have approximately $2.60 per person out of your $400 budget, I don't know what part of the country you're in a but I hope it's not NYC or another major city . In my building that budget per person would mean all the attendees would have to go to the vending machines we have near the laundry room and get a bag of chips and soda.

I was a born in but never really bought into it, but the thing tha absolutely solidified it for me was Crisis of Conscience, written by some that was DEFINITELY "in the know" !! Too many individual stories in the book to mention, but the Malawi situation always sticks in my mind.

Do you give thanks for every meal?
by bruh indo you give thanks for every meal or do you thank god once for the whole day of meals???
is thanking god for every meal scriptural or something that came along in early christianity ?
?.

To each his own on prayer before food, but the MAIN reason I will never do that are the memories of Dubs trying to be so goddamn pious at a gathering or restaurant putting on a big display.

Since leaving the truth, do you celebrate holidays, and does your participation in such bring you happiness?
by Stand for Pure Worship ini ask this respectfully, and do so after watching a favorite show of mine's season opener which had a new years storyline.
hollywood tends to make movies and television show episodes centered around holiday themes appear warm and blissful.
while i'm thankful to have never participated in such holidays, i can't deny my curiosity about ex-jws that do celebrate.

Bruja- I chuckle at how you mention your children's ages but don't mention if you're near my age which I posted. Really doesn't matter and you certainly have the right to not mention your age (as if I had to tell you that) but I just find that just a bit comical. Also how the post was about bullying but you didn't mention that either, find that interesting as well
