Well, being that she's over thirty and probably hasn't been to a meeting in years, I guess no one really cares. Although you can't play competitive sports with a big baby belly, I would just love to see her after one of her matches with the big baby after the win and hear her thank Jehovah like she always does.

I just posted the paragraph below about two weeks ago, but it fits under your topic quite well:
A brother who was a close friend of my family lost his elder position because his youngest teenage son was making babies along the entire eastern seaboard (just about). So instead of Brother Elder being "humble", what does a member of good standing in the Boys Club do, just get transferred to another congregation to retain his eldership !! How easy was that, I wonder if he and the other elders that went along with this little scheme ever thought about what Jehoober might be thinking about their crazy scheme?

i was told by my husband that i had to go with him and the rest of his family to the special talk that was happening this weekend.

Now just which "special talk" is this?
There's the special talk for all congs on a certain date across the U.S., supposedly, that's why I didn't even say worldwide, then there's the special talk that's only given in certain locations. I remember more than ten years ago some friends came from Philly and stayed with my mom in NYC because of a special talk. It was covered here on the board as well, always turns out to be a big nothing, same BS they've been blabbering about for decades.

I'll definitely be lifting a glass or two of the grape, but not with the same intention as those delusional ones who think they're the only ones among Jehovahs' happy people that will have a heavenly afterlife.
I'm just waiting to hear what the attendance was like from those who attend, those days when folks used to wrapped all around hall and standing in the lobby and even renting another venue for all the attendees are over, at least from what I've heard.

As an ex jw I can peg them by their dress but the general public would have trouble playing spot the witness or "where's wally witness" in a crowd of shoppers.

It appears that way at some of the carts I see in the subway stations here in NYC, they set them up, then go find a bench to sit down and gossip away the rest of the afternoon, so easy to count time now, they should bring the 100 hours a month, just set up the cart, sit down and verbally tear apart the others in the Congregation and get your time in at the same time!

what Flipper said, except for Kinison,he was funny, but not in Rickles territory - in my opinion of course.
Someone above mentions he has as much energy as Robin WIlliams, energy yes, but you can't say the two of them are alike in any way, Rickles was a natural, Williams was just acting that way to so folks would pay more attention to him, it was his ego, same with Jim Carrey, both of them not funny, and nowhere near Rickles, a natural, funny comedic legend.

Mormon Baptizing the dead??

?hell jw's are preaching everyone will go up in flames no one believe that crap except jw but no one is up in arms, they know they walk a different step....the lds leaders agreed to halt baptisms specifically of jews holocaust victims in 2010 but they are at it again, baptizing jews.
this is funny as hell to me.
