Beks, I pick on you sometimes because you are so quick to slap labels on me (and a few others) and it's kind of fun to watch you rant. I respect Glenn Beck and agree with him on multiple issues. However, dear, there are many I don't agree with him about, but I never throw the baby out with the bathwater. Research Research Research....Do your homework. Then you can decide what pieces ring true to you and which ones don't. Never keep your mind so closed that light can't penetrate when it's right there in plain site or coming right out of the horse's mouth.

What was the real reason he jumped for Donald Trump? And don't say because "enough is enough". There is a REASON Obama chose to jump at this particular time for this particular man. Not only did he jump, instead of releasing it through the press secretary, he chose to hold a formal press conference! Ummmm.

This is not a black and white issue. It has many layers the public is not privy to, imo. There is a reason the question was raised. There is a reason it became an issue. There is a reason Obama let it go this far if indeed he could have nipped it in the bud by allowing his BC to be released earlier. There is a reason Donald Trump got involved. There is a reason Obama finally released it. There is a reason he gave a press conference about it instead of having the press secretary address it.

I'm starting this thread because someone on the "Is America Great" thread said the USA is Babylon the Great and proceeded to quote all the descriptions in Revelation and relate them to the US.
I just want (tongue in cheek, of course?) to show him and others how you could twist it the other way:
So, what if.....
#1 America is the New World. It's founding began with Christopher Columbus. It is a great crowd of people from all tongues and nationalities. It is the proverbial melting pot where people of all nations have gathered under one kingdom.
#2 Armageddon was the upheaval during the Middle Ages...the plagues, the revolutions, the wars, the oppressions, etc. etc.
#3 The lady that gave birth to the male child (Democracy) was Lady Liberty.
#4 Babylon the Great...False Christianity and the corruption of The Church.
#5 "Get out of her my people"....When people fled to the New World for religious freedom, to leave behind the false teach of the corrupted church.
#6 Just as God used severity in the Old Testament showing the violent, harsh, and militaristic side, discipline and severity is what has to take place to hone, shape, and perfect the people. They will go through a process of perfecting righteousness. (In the Kabbalah, there is the dualistic nature of mercy and severity. The equilibrating column is the middle where the Christ dwells.) This is why we see the severe side of God in the OT and the merciful side of God in the NT.
#7 Over a period of 1000 years, we will grow and learn and become perfected in the New World. While we may display our Severe side at first, we will grow and become perfected through Mercy and tolerance until the equilibrium is reached.
#8 Democracy will spread throughout the world. It will have birth pangs and distress, but it will spread until all nations of the earth have freedom and live in peace with one another, working together to solve problems of disease and sickness, poverty, despair, and yes, even death.
Okay...feel free to pick it apart. I'm just saying, this is another way you can interpret prophecy.
