has anybody here read lord of the flies.the book is by william golding and he takes during a world war and it involves 12 boys lost on an island.anybody i like the book because it describes very well human nature at it's worst.
that deep down we are savage humans bent on killing and destruction.
the book also made me think that children are not as innocent as we make them out to be.people can do evil to one another if law and order did not exist..

i left my cushy job at the bookstore and i'm totally free of employment responsibilities for the first time in millions of years.. i guess i'm now retired.. i can sleep as late as i want to but my body won't let me.
my eyes pop open automatically waaaaay too early.. i can go where i want.
the question now becomes: what do we do with total freedom?.
I know your question was: WHAT WOULD YOU DO? (I'm assuming you mean 'you' in the general sense.)
Get involved in a political campaign for your favorite candidate!

Get a degree!
Or, just audit some university classes.
Sorry....ideas are bombarding me!!!!!!!!!

Become a substitute teacher. Even if you don't have a full 4-year degree, you can sub.

Organize a seminar.
Become a motivational speaker. (You have excellent communication skills as far as the written word goes, but I have never heard you speak. If your voice is as good as your written word, you would be superb!)

Take all the fragments of your Life Puzzle and start putting them together, piece by piece, and focus on how they are connected.
Or....connect all your dots to see what your Big Picture is so far.
Then, figure out what pieces and/or dots are yet missing.
Or, just get about saving the planet or baby harp seals.
rather than trying to make sense of the bible as it is written (which is impossible), it's very helpful to consult the mythical source of it all.
"myth" does not mean "fairy tale" or "bs", it means an allegory that is attempting to convey wisdom as only a metaphor can.
that being said, having done extensive research into these allegories and myths, the following rings very true to me.
My own research convinces me that humanity is in a transition stage and on the verge of an evolutionary quantum leap. Indigos have been arriving enmasse in recent decades and it's now changing the DNA or re-awakening parts of it.
Side note:
The story of the serpent becoming an evil symbol began with the wars between Enki (Adonai) and his Pleiaden brother, Enlil (Jehovah).Did you know that Chas. T. Russell believed that Jehovah lived in the Pleiades? He even said that in some of his literature. I'm sure some on this board can tell you exactly in which book he said it.
all of us are aware of the startling and terrifying events of 2001, or 9/11 as it is commonly termed.. airplanes were hijacked and flown into the world trade center killing over a thousand innocent people.. this experience is vivid enough in our memory and consciousness so that it can serve as a significant illustration of what follows.. .
now i want you to imagine that you and a group of your friends received ironclad evidence ahead of the 9/11 event.
the evidence is from.
Man! They've got a good thing goin', don't they!!
does this mean no imports?.
no olives, no fancy cheeses, no coconuts?.
does this mean no industry and no manufacturers?.
I use this phrase a lot. IMO, it means personal liberty and enjoying the fruits of one's own labor.
ok, my first guest has flaked on me.
this is a little disappointing because i was looking forward to a discussion about homosexuality and the bible that people could really sink their teeth into.. .
other the other hand, i am relieved.
You've had an epiphany! Now...get away from this place! IMO, JWN is a great place to come for initial support, confirmation that you have made the right decision to leave the borg, post some informative material for others to digest, and maybe meet a friend or two.
After that, you need a few years away from all things JW....including this forum. After you have secured yourself emotionally, psychologically, and otherwise, come back and play with us. Just don't get re-absorbed and let it consume your real life.
